"I was very dissapointment to see a 10% gratuity added to my bill , once I got home. And actually found it quite cheeky to just take it without telling me. If I think a place deserves a tip, I give my change into the tip jar. But never have I just had it taken, without my knowledge. I won't be back....."

"Love the food in this place. Such a good price and the food is top class. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too big of a job for them..the decor is a bit bland and out of date so it could do with a touch up and i would love if they provided a cocktail menu"

"Visited here Easter Sunday we came over on the Carlingford ferry for a day trip 5 adults 3 children we were going to Carlingford town for lunch but decided to visit John Longs. Must say great choice getting a table for 8 anywhere without booking is almost impossible but they were more than accommodating and within 10 minutes we were all seated together. Food was excellent hospitality was overwhelming and price was reasonable. Grest decision not waiting to get to Carlingford for lunch as it was rammed with weekend hens and stags and fish and chips or burger takeaway would have been our only option so if your planning to visit Carlingford by ferry I recommend visiting John Longs first you'll not be disappointed and the scenery is pretty awesome as well."

"Unfortunately the food and service has not lived up the the standards it us to have. The calvary roast beef was very fatty and Luke warm, by the time I sat down it was cold. This was the same for all the family. Disappointed to say the least, I will not be back."
