"Overall pleasant experience. Menu is very limited. waitress informed us 2 mains were off menu when ordering. Husband ordered one of sandwiches plus sides. was informed sandwich was off menu. then ordered steak and she returned 5 minutes later to say that was off. Food was fresh and tasty. kids meals were lovely. All plates cleaned. staff very friendly. could do with expanding menu."

"My parents and I love cabra castle, the environment, the ambiente and the friendly staff. but eating is really terrible, which is really surprising when considering that pub grub in earth is in the usually beautiful. bland paninis, sandwiches and uninspiring suppening, boobs, tasteless wings, etc. it is really a winer. do not ashame a professional cook for the bar part. should be amazing. the restaurant on the top floor is a bit better, but still very common, running-the-mill non-emergent food to not so cheap trips. overall cabra castle is beautiful, but maybe they bring a lunch package to enjoy in the grounds and have only a drink here."

"I am back for a few weeks in Ireland visiting family and friends. I went to the Hinterland Literary Festival with a good friend yesterday. Afterwards, we ended up in the beautiful outside garden of the Headfort Arms Hotel. There is a summer menu. My friend opted for a salad with grilled brie and balsamic; I had the Cajun chicken breast in a bap with a side salad instead of the chips. We had two glasses of Pinot Grigio which lasted us a while as we caught up on all of our life happenings for the past year. Ireland has been undergoing a heat wave, and it was too much of a beautiful day to be spent inside in the lounge area. The food was very good as was the wine. The garden service finishes at 9 p.m. We then went into the lounge to finish our wine. There was live music at around 9:30 p.m. I would definitely return there again if I am in the area. Total bill was 47 Euros or about $58 for two including alcohol."
