"We came here because we heard that it was one of Walt Disney's favorite restaurants. We ordered sandwiches while our friend ordered the prime rib (not shown). The sandwiches were dry and everything was under seasoned thus lacking a lot of flavor. It was a shame. The only saving grace was using horseradish and a side of scotch rarebit sauce on the sandwiches."

"I can’t believe this place has been around for so long and I just found out about it!!! The Pikey is such a fun yet romantic British themed restaurant. The menu isn’t huge but it WILL hit all of your senses!! Every dish has a little bit of something special, and very vegetarian friendly! My favorites so far are their amazing hand tossed mixed NUTS, ENDIVE SALAD, VEGGIE CURRY and ROASTED SALMON. My server Allie (as well as the others) was very knowledgeable and friendly. OH AND: How cute is that patio covered with beautiful flowers! AND dog friendly! I think my dog was treated better than me haha!!!!"

"We’ve dined at the restaurant many times. The service seemed a bit off this time. We asked for small plates to split dessert and never got them, glasses ran dry for water and not sure that the waiter ever checked in to see how we were doing once the food arrived. Ladies restroom had hand towels on the floor at the entry. There was no trash can inside and ladies probably didn’t want to touch the door handle after their washing hands and trash inside was overflowing. Perhaps they were short handed?"

"Spartina is definitely a great find! I live in Mississippi and travel to LA a couple of times a year. It is always on my list of places I must visit. We took a group of 13. We had reservations and we were accommodated and seated immediately. The chef/owner came out, made recommendations, and made sure we had appetizers on the table. Everything came out promptly and was fabulous!!! I had the Sicilian Shrimp Pasta but sampled the grilled chicken, pepperoni pizza and tortellini with beef short ribs. I am not sure which was the best!! It is all delicious. If you find yourself near Melrose, please put this on your list. You will not be disappointed."
