"I have been to Red Star several times, but always at night until my last visit. I have noticed the service is hit and miss (sometimes good, sometimes crap) but the food is generally good. Recently I was downtown meeting friends for lunch and they suggested Red Star. I normally go for places where I can relax, and I don't think of Red Star that way at all! However, we took a group of 8 and it was actually my best Red Star visit to date! I got the fish tacos, which were surprisingly phenomenal. Make sure to get them with the side of black beans if you like a little spice, because they are probably one of the best things on the menu (maybe even better than the tacos themself). My friends got salads, sandwiches, etc. The standard fare hit the spot with each person, but I have to say, those of us that went outside of the comfort zone and tried some of the more non-traditional dishes got the best meals."

"Best wings in town. Rooties' has the best wings in Louisville. They originated in Buffalo, and even though they do have buffalo style wings, their BBQ wings with their blue cheese sauce is the best."

"First time here and pleasantly surprised at how good the food is! Pizza the way pizza was meant to be! Thick and delicious! The cheese sticks (14 pieces) and the cinnamon sticks are both fantastic too. Oh, and you want some soda to go? Get that 20oz nonsense out of here... YOU GET 2 LITERS! That's so much soda that they had to switch to the metric system! Why are you still reading this?!?! You should be reading the menu and ordering!"

"Please support Crowler Catering and Small Batch Events!! Great people and they have great products. They offer food from local restaurants and chefs and also feature local beers and specialty cocktails made by Crowler. We joined the Cocktail of the Month club which means for the next several months they will deliver a superb cocktail and or beer with a paired snack. How great is that? This month is the Je T'aime cocktail made with French 75 Gin, house made hibiscus syrup and champagne and Apocalypse Chocolate Cherry Robust Porter beer, paired with house chips and dark chocolate with dried cherries. Wonderful!! We also ordered a crowler of West Sixth Snake Eyes Imperial Stout and Against the Grain Quadruple Dog Dare Belgian Quad. Please support this business! They do a fantastic job!"

"Delicious, well-prepared food. From appetizer to dessert, everything was wonderful. Our waitress was friendly and professional and service was prompt, even though they were quite busy when we got there. Of all the restaurants we tried while in Louisville, the Irish Rover was by far my favorite."
