"A popular local spot. We went for happy hour. The happy hour menu wasn't great. They didn't have one of the 4 or 5 food choices. The prices were basically the same. The service was slightly lacking. We definitely waited several times to order, to pay, to ask a question. In this era I gave it 4 stars, but it's more of a 3. They can't always help what's available and times can be tough."

"Visited her for the second time during a conference held at Pheasant Run. I was really excited because they offered an unlimited soup and salad bar during lunch for under $9. Going to a conference that 's packed with stuff that I wanted to go to, I wasn 't too keen on having to wait for table service so this was perfect. Since I was by myself, I sat at the bar to avoid the atrocious line for tables. Let me start with the fact that the food was really good! The soups were delish and the salad bar was very fresh and well cared for. Hence the reason they earned a 3 star in my book rather than a 2. What made it so bad?? The service! On the first day of the conference, I saw there was an open seat with a menu, so I sat down. I had to flag down the barternder after 5 minutes because he kept overlooking me and actually served two other people who sat down after me. When he did get to me, he said Oh...someone else is sitting here and looked at me like I should move. When i didn 't, he rethought his statement and asked what I wanted to eat. Clearly whoever was there before me changed their mind about eating there because they never came back to the seat! After I sat down and told him that I was doing the soup and salad, the bartender never acknowledged me again. He never cleared my plate when I came back with another for a second soup, and I even got a drink from another waiter who was kind enough to ask if I needed anything! Again....they earned their stars with the quality and flavor of their food...and really dropped the ball on the service. As I sit here for the second time, knowing the kind of service I had yesterday, I did come back for the convenience of the soup and salad bar and basically received the exact same type of service. I asked the bartender (same guy from the day before what type of soup the buffet had and he said minestrone. When I asked if it was a seafood minestrone, he said no. I (visibly! had chunks of (albeit yummy crab in my soup. What if I was allergic to seafood?!? The management really needs to spend a little more time training their staff on proper service :"
