"Lovely pub with great atmosphere and roaring fires. However, I had the beef stew this time last year and it was really good, so I ordered it again yesterday only to be disappointed as it was thin and the beef was fatty I won't be ordering that again !"

"Went to The Sun Inn after really long walk. We were amazed by very friendly staff who kindly described all the local attractions. The Sun Inn mainly specialises in Persian food. The meals were fresh and delicious. There is a wide selection of beer and cider. The pub is dog friendly. Highly recommend this place."

"The George was warm and welcoming and the staff were very helpful. We chose two courses from the Wednesday fixed price menu at £17.70 per head which we thought was good value for money. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed our meal. The choice of ale was limited but my husband had Guinness which was fine and I had a half of a locally brewed beer. When the bill arrived it was for over £65 and I could see the mistake immediately as we had been charged for the 2 fixed price two course meals plus another 2 starters. I politely said that I thought the bill was wrong at which point it was recalculated. I have to say I found two things really disappointing the chap behind the bar was very offhand about making a mistake with the bill and offered no apology at all. I also think Guinness at £6 a pint is very pricey...we don't pay that in London pubs."

"I visited The Bay Tree for Sunday lunch with family members. It is a very nice country style pub. We got our drinks and were taken to our table by a very friendly server. We ordered the meals, roasts all round and they were brought out a few minutes later. The portions were very generous and we loaded them even more with the vegetables brought separately. Our meals were excellent and were consumed with enthusiasm. Even though we were full, we did make room for dessert. My Spotted Dick with piping hot custard was very pleasant and flavoursome. Thank you Bay Tree. I will be back."
