"I first went here with a friend not realising that I had been here many times as a kid.It used to be a corner store, right next to my primary school, and next to what had one been an outdoor movie theatre (only at night) in the 50's. I used to go in there pre decimal with tuppence and get licorice squares. For a while in the 80-90's in was a hydroponic store. Thank you, thank you to who ever decided it would make a perfect cafe. The decor is quirky 60's, the chairs are recycled (from council pickups) crome ones like my mum had in the kitchen with formica table tops and they even managed to get games from the 60's & perhaps early 70's. The food is very good, the breakfasts and salads are delicious, so are the homemade pies and cakes. Nothing bought in from bakeries here. I have since been about 6 times, last time I had the Jaffa Cake, heavenly. Only open for breakfast and lunch"
