"Have always rated this place very. Unfortunately, the last fish chips I got last week were disgusting, the fish was muddy, almost like kartoffelmaisch. I said to the people against tonight, they apologized, but they took my full payment for my mother's womb. I think that at least what they could do should make my dinner tonight. I paid almost for the mentioned fish sauce with a soft drink. I'm going somewhere else from now on."

"Old and tired. The staff were lovely and friendly but the Best Western brand/owners are letting the hotel down. It is in need of a huge renovation and a good clean. There were lots of work men staying (which I don’t mind, but it gives you an idea that it’s a work hotel and not for leisure or a holiday) The carpet in our room was filthy and behind the bathroom door was dusty and full of other peoples body hair."

"Spur of the moment visit early lunchtime after being up in the Scots Monument in the cold. Service was slow to start but staff were very friendly. Had the most amazing soup and bread, husband had the haggis bites. Then we had a chocolate brownie to share wowzers! Our blonde waitress (European) was just lovely. Would definitely come back. Just as well we got there when we did though as it soon filled up for lunch and people had to wait that bit longer. Cake selection awesome!"

"Nice pub and restaurant near Waverley Station in Edinburgh! We had a very nice curry and fish/chips accompanied by some beers. I would recommend it for a quick and tasty lunch."
