"Had dinner in a lovely function room, although waited 40 minutes for food to come out (including starters). Additionally, in the corner of the room there was dog poo laying on the floor. No fault to the staff but could have at least been compensated for it ruining our meal as it resulted in guests being put off their food. Also, staff could’ve checked the function room before guests arrived for cleanliness and hygiene."

"Sadly this was overall a disappointing lunch visit using a voucher I had been given as a Birthday gift. The quality of food served on cold plates was poor, the chips were like cotton wool the burger was overcooked. Not difficult to have got this sort of basic meal right. Both choices of white wine were not available in the wine fridges behind the bar so had to be brought up from the cellar store. No proper wine cooler for the table available either so the bottle was put in a small jug with a few lumps of ice not good enough so we asked for a glass of ice had to put chucks directly into our wine glasses."
