"Cool coffee shop with great options for coffee/tea lovers. Simple menu to satisfy your breakfast needs. I ordered a Cortado which was made perfectly. Croissant and bagel sandwiches are delicious and made to order super quick. Indoor dining area could use a quick cleaning. Outdoor dining would benefit greatly from heating lamps as the weather is wicked cold. Clean and well stocked unisex restroom. Outdated flyers on community board, should really showcase current local info!"

"Stayed for 2 nights as part of an escorted tour of New England. On arrival we received a very warm and friendly welcome from the reception staff and were offered a cold bottle of water which was very appreciated after a long day travelling. Were informed that coffee/ tea etc was available at all times free of charge in the lobby area. We later discovered that there was also fresh fruit, pastries and hot chocolate. Our room was spacious, very clean and had 2 queen sized beds, a fridge, microwave and all the usual facilities. Lovely view towards the ocean. Bathroom was spacious and plenty of fluffy towels. Breakfast was plentiful with a variety of foods to suit everybody. Blueberry muffins were the best I have tasted. Vending machines for drinks, ready meals etc and a little shop area for snacks, baby food and other foodstuffs. The staff were super friendly and so helpful at all times and always had a friendly word as we came and went. All in all an excellent stay, just wish it had been for longer. Highly recommended."

"We stayed at Island Place in Bar Harbor for three nights and I would highly recommend it. It was very reasonably priced and had everything we needed. Since it is such a small motel, with only about 11 rooms, everything was so convenient. We could park right in front of our room so the many trips back to our car were quick and easy. They have a small table and 2 chairs outside every room where we drank wine and reflected on our day each night. We had 24 hour access to the main office which was only a few doors down and it had coffee, a hot water station for tea and hot chocolate, and a water bottle station with ice so we could fill our water bottles as needed. Also, the people were very friendly and helpful. The location was an easy walk to downtown and there was a grocery store about two blocks away as well. The room is nothing fancy, but had everything we needed and was very clean. The flowers and landscaping around the hotel was well done. Compared to the cost of other places close to downtown Bar Harbor, Island Place is a great deal and we would definitely stay there again."

"The food at 2 cats is absolutely fantastic. Had 3 different plates to share on our table. Blueberry pancakes you can't give up. The Mediterranean breakfast is great for vegetarians and the Lobster Benedict was my personal favorite. Great care goes to dinner here. The building is old and native. You make everything to order and in the house, so it takes some time to get the food out, but it is very worth the wait."
