"We dropped in because it was local and we're delighted to discover a truly outstanding Lebanese restaurant. The portions were generous and great value because the food was excellent!! I recommend the mixed grill featuring lamb, chicken and spiced beef skewers accompanied by pilaf, pickled beets, creamed garlic and hummus. The Greek salad is the best I've ever had and half the usual price. We will be back soon and often."

"Have been to 3 other Montforts which were all good, consistent. This one is run down looking, the food was not nearly as good, dry, not well cooked. Service was good. Great location in Westdale, but would not return to eat at this Montfort."

"Food was great. Wonderful server. Only thing wrong was we had invited a few older friends to have lunch with us and we were given a table with benches, nothing to support their backs. We asked for another table as they would not be able to have their brunch comfortably without regular chairs with back support. We waited for a table, but even though the party had paid, they were not ready to leave the table they wanted to give us. We finally asked for two tables to be push together so we could go on with our lunch. Next time, ask for a table with regular chairs when we make our reservation"

"Best shawarma poutine in hamilton, always go to these guys best in city but the service was terrible. Called at 11:30 and they close at 12, first they didnt wanna take my order, then they didnt let me dine in since they have to catch the bus. Owner should know employees are leaving early when they close at 12? Please change hours if this is the case"

"We are very impressed by the pride these folks take in their food. It shows in their service as well. I really enjoyed the lamb and as it suggests in the menu add a little fresh lemon juice to the lentil soup as it's fantastic. As you're right around the Canadian Blood Services clinic. Why not drop in and make an appointment to save a life."

"Someone recommended this place and since I love falafel I decided to give it a chance. I had a falafel there but found it to be average.On the positive note, the service there is very good. I will probably have to give them another chance in the future because of this."

"I've had takeout from this location about a half a dozen times. The salads are always good and generously portioned. I love the tahini and fattoosh salads. I as not as impressed with the sandwiches though. Beef is ok but falafel and chicken are not up to par. The falafel are too floury and not crisp and the chicken is bland. They use chicken breast, which is nice, but I don't think they marinate it. The prices are fair - considering the size and quality of the salads."

"This restaurant was quite highly recommended at our B&B, but one must be cautious of recommendations, right? The food was very good, however, and that is most important. We started with a shared Spicy Potato appetizer (plenty for two people) and then, it being warm,...went with light fare: a Chicken Shawarma and Kafta. And they were very good but what is it with the pickles? I should have simply asked for none since they seem, and were, out of place on this type of food. A local variation, I suppose. Now here's the irksome things: first of all, I can't imagine a more dull and monolithic exterior and, especially, interior to a Mediterranean restaurant! There was NO decoration what so ever inside; it was a very clinical and unappealing decor. Second, although the menu stated Turkish coffee/espresso I was told we don't serve that here No explanation was made for why it was on the menu. There are three of these restaurants in Hamilton. Perhaps the other two are more cheery and honest. I'll never find out since I will never go back"
