"I love Chicken Chef. It’s my favourite fried chicken. Not feeling very hungry I ordered the perogy snack. I have had perogies before and have had Chicken Chef perogies before. When they arrived they were weirdly cracked. When I took a bite the inside was frozen. I rarely return anything and I knew how busy the staff was, but I did ask for a new order. The second order was so hard it was hard to eat. I ate some and when I discussed with waiter who asked how it was, he explained they were deep fried. Well ok then. Would not order the perogies here clearly an issue."

"I expected more at breakwater after seeing many customers outside on the terrace. I should have looked more closely because none of them actually had any food from the restaurant. When I came in, I found a very tiny section for sitting inside and. a split interieur. the server looked haunted when she was the only one who worked. while I thought it was a restaurant, there was only ice and drinks served, and very little ice after a long afternoon. I dropped off on a potty cherry ice cream, got overloaded, but I just wanted to get out."

"My wife, daughter, and I stopped to eat there today while visiting the Icelandic Festival events. The restaurant was busy, but it’s a long weekend, and the festival going on, so that’s to be expected.We ordered the food, which we waited maybe 15 minutes. It was hot and tasty. The guys taking the orders we very pleasant and professional, for such a young age. I did talk to one of them and let him know they did a great job.In the world we live in now, it is hard, especially for restaurants, to please everyone. Many people expect perfect service. If that’s what they want, don’t visit a restaurant on a long weekend that has thousands of visitors descend on the town.Keep up the great work and remember, there are always complainers.Harvey Shirley Lohnes."

"I always enjoy visiting Spruce Sands, grabbing a bite to eat, and chit-chatting with the Hammonds. The food is pretty standard burger joint fare although there are some exceptions - the chicken cranberry club, creative "perogy fries", and fresh homemade cinnamon buns - Yummy!"

"The atmosphere is retro and very clean, the staff is friendly and the food it excellent. They do get quite busy but are quite quick to get your food cooked and out to you."

"The pickerel has so many tiny bones. I counted about 15 in one piece (that I was sharing with my toddler, making it unsafe for her to eat) we reached out to the employee and she responds “the pickerel have bones, it’s whatever we get from the fishermen.. the fish do come from the water” and rolled her eyes and walked away. It was awful customer service. We did not eat our second piece. You pay and leave a tip first and I already gave a generous tip. I wish I hadn’t. We will not be back."

"This little restaurant serves the best pickeral fish and chip dishes with their own tartar sauce recipe! Delicious! They also have amazing milk shakes! They are even available for takeout in the Winter months. So thankful! Kris' Fish and Chips is strategically located right across from the Lakeview Resort. If you haven't stopped in, you should. You will plan your time around their hours next time you pass through. Enjoy!"
