"We are currently in Canmore and heard this in Banff was the place to go. We packed up the family and made the visit for lunch. Sigh. It took about 15 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, it took another 10 minutes before anyone came back to our table: not even water was provided. Getting the water and drinks took another 10-15 minutes. Eventually service got better but never to what was expected. We got more attention once we got food. We even caught the server taking pics of a wedding party instead of attending. More staff was absolutely required: the check in desk was vacant often. Worse, It was a windy day so I asked for my appetizer to come separate from the main: they came together :-( The only positive for me was the Alberta Trout: very juicy and tasty fish. Reminds me of salmon. The coffee wasn't hot either. We had to pay for parking: $10/hr.Hopefully it was just an off day but sucks to have gone through that."
