"$27 for a medium lasagna that had mediocre bland sauce, cheese only on the top and hardly any meat. Would be happy to spend the money if it was a tasty hearty lasagna but not for something I can throw together in 10 minutes."

"We came here for a friend's surprise birthday. The party organizer called the restaurant ahead of time and got to come in early and have our little corner decorated. Always loved their warm house bread and butter and filling ourselves up. 2 of my favorite menu items that I have in the pictures below are the creamy gnocchi with spinach and crispy shallots and the funghi pizza. I always ask for the extra sauce to dip the bread in after and clean it up. Overall food was great and do check out their other menu items like the fungi pasta.Vegetarian options: I've been here when I was vegan. They have a nice vegan menu offered, and it wasn't that bad. They should definitely expand a bit to add more options into their pasta side.Parking: There is parking available as it is in the plaza. It's not really crowded, but there might be a small walk to the restaurant if anythingWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is located on the ground floor and there is wheelchair parking available."

"We ordered for the reception and tried chicken biryani, mixed grill, samosas and say paneer, together with nan brot. everyone enjoyed the meal and agreed that the food was good. about 10 minutes. I hanged, redd and served immediately. my man said it was a very busy night, so I guess they were busy."

"I have been going to The Portly for the last 5 years and have always had great food and great service. We've even tried the Oshawa pub and it's as good. Food is way above the average restaurant in Ajax and the servers are always friendly. You can expect a wait anytime of the week with a winning combination like that. But what you can also expect is to have employees bump ahead of you to be seating making your wait even longer. Not too impressed with that side of "service"."

"The best samosas I ever had, and I had plenty of the samosa places in scarborough. the thing that hits home is that the samosas here have a lot of flavors, and while that may mean that it is a little less authentic (I don't care. because the cream cheese and spinat is my jam. such wonderful aromas, and the owner keeps on the invention new unique and fun takes on classic scary and biry so I need to drive out."

"Had the complete chicken dinner, with rice, salad and potatoes and the portions were not only generous, but the quality was very good. The potatoes were not too hard and not too soft and were excellent. Right with rice and salad very delicious.... As for chicken it was moist, well marinated and a decent size. Another very important topic was the temperature of the food, it was hot as it should be. Nothing is worse than a warm or cold meal. Customer service was very polite and professional. You pay a little more, but you get so much more. The facility was also very clean and had a nice ambience, Will definitely back."
