"Called in the the restaurant upstairs for lunch on a Friday. The plate of bread, beetroot dip, olive oil and olives was a nice and tasty way to start whilst perusing the menu. We decided to start with the special anchovies - yummy salty deliciousness they were too. We followed with the blue eye fish starter and the baked onion stuffed with (amongst other things) goats cheese and bacon - both really good (photos attached). Our son had his usual steak and chips and rated the steak 9 out of 10.Not cheap but a great lunch washed down with good beer brewed on the premises."

"Had been to this Indian restaurant twice. Had a lunch special last time where you had 3 curries and a mango lassi for something like $20. It was too much food . This time round we ordered from the menu and shared a few dishes amongst us. We had dhal ( and it was beautiful ), a vegetarian dish, a lamb curry and fresh naan. Naan was freshly made and was very nice.I could have just eaten the naan on its own. Lamb curry was lovely and not too spicy ( we asked the dishes to be NOT too hot ). Good food, reasonably priced, good service, and just a short walking distance from the office.Will definitely return."

"I have visited Langham hotel and have afternoon tea with my friend before. It was wonderful. This time I went again, it was very disappointed. Really bad service by a waitress called Sona. A lady dress like a manager had an awful service as well. Didn't enjoy that at all. Call for service several times, didn't come immediately. As my mom was still having her meal, both waitress and manager try to take her plate from her. Very displeasing, really rude and unpleasant experience. As my mom's friends drank all their water, no refill for water. However, I saw the waitress refill other customers' cup. As I booked for five people, the table was extremely small, not suitable for 5 people at all. The waitress done some many wrong things, kept dropping things. From what I can see, she is lack of Proper training. I had two high tea today with my friend. As the waitress served our high tea, didn't even explain what we are having, just put it down and left. The meal my mom was having, just so TINY and over priced. Such disappointment. Bad service, over priced food, unpleasant experiences. Won't ever visit again."

"I went to Henry Deane, who is located on the roof of the Hotel Palisade. First and foremost, the view of the harbor bridge is spectacular! The interior is very tidy, although the building is old. The food is small dishes, which is ideal for sharing. The oysters were fresh, Kingfish was well presented, but the highlight was definitely the lamb chops. The service was friendly and attentive. It is not a big place so that bookings are recommended. There are also a series of steps to climb even after the elevator ride."

"Great views, great location but rude staff! One of the first to arrive we were seated at our table & it was the most gorgeous day. Unfortunately surrounded by windows and with the winter sun it streamed in the windows blinding us and it was extremely hot. We politely asked the Maitre D' if he could lower the blind a little and then asked a second time when he seemed to be distracted. Two comments "you should have brought your sunglasses" & "are you vampires?" He lowered the shade half way which was perfect but his rudeness was unacceptable. Pity about the staff."

"This place surpassed expectations on every level. Just arriving to the spectacular views and the warm welcome, set us off to the best of starts. But then, as the drinks and food began to flow, we settled in to one of the most relaxed and...enjoyable days out, I can remember in a long time. We were celebrating a special occasion and the wonderful staff went out of their way to ensure that everything was perfect for us. I actually think that this is their default operating style. I had opted for a pre-ordered menu for my guests. The food was abundant, varied and utterly delicious. The staff were careful to make sure that one of our guests, who is vegetarian, was specifically catered for when the rest of us had meat. The food options were perfectly spaced, so there was no sense of rush at all. After lunch, we were moved just one floor down, into a comfortable lounge area, which also had a fantastic view, where we were able to continue with our party. The food and drinks are fairly priced. I would recommend Palisade to any group of any age. We look forward to returning. Thank you very much Nat and all of your team!"
