"A group of men on table sixteen this afternoon were disgusting with their foul mouths. They were in close proximity to two young kids approx age 8-10 and still constantly swore. They had many hand free phone calls which again was full of swearing. What is a very family friendly pub is being ruined by a small minority. I had to laugh when a member of staff asked politely for the loudest man to please stop swearing and his answer was I’m not swearing!."

"Called in for last minute meal. Had the vegan fish and chips with homemade tartare sauce. Fish was beer battered banana blossom. Absolutely stunning. Several options with 3 vegan desserts. And pet friendly too"

"What an incredible, traditional, village pub with great food and wonderful staff! After moving to this area recently, I, a gay man with 3 dogs, have received the most incredible welcome by absolutely everyone who works and frequents this place. I can honestly say that I have utilised this space for all it has to offer, from drinks, to off the cuff culinary nourishment, which isn’t always easy as a vegetarian, and I have loved every moment and taste! I have introduced many of my friends to this place when celebrating and not one of them have ever been disappointed, in fact, they have all commented on the cleanliness, the efficiency and the quality of everything they have experienced! Thank you so much for your consistency, your acceptance, and your continued quality in everything you do, you’re all awesome!!!"

"Went there for Sunday lunch recently. I cannot fault the food for taste and quantity and the surroundings are comfortable and clean. Very busy on a Sunday. We booked for 12md, we’re served at 1pm and advised that they needed the table for 2pm, so be aware of this but the food was lovely! Will go again but probably at 2pm."

"We decided to try a different pub for a meal just for a change , we were not disappointed with our choice, evidently the pub only does meals Thursday to Sunday, we were just lucky it was Thursday, so we ordered. I had a Gammon which was superb not salty or skinny it came with decent chips mushrooms 3 tomatoes egg and pineapple with also a little rocket and cucumber this has to be the very best gammon meal I have ever had, my wife had the butterfly chicken with mushroom sauce with chips and a side salad of rocket tomatoes etc , needless to say her meal was very well received too. The restaurant area was a very pleasant place to be just adjacent to the main bar area on a slightly raised level , I would heartily recommend this pub for the meals , Thursday is quite quiet I cannot vouch for the quiet atmosphere Friday onwards though as it surely will be far busier"
