"English version below Everything was good until the start. After paying a bill of 2000 chf, we left the restaurant, my wife, my daughter and me. It was at this moment that a restaurant employee caught up with us, accusing us of not having paid, telling him that we had paid the bill, he told us confidently that it was not possible because he was the only one responsible for collection. After a long wait, he came back to us, apologizing and telling us that everything was in order. The false accusation of ribbing is punishable, if not by law, at least not by decency. Is it necessary to remember that a 'great ' restaurant must be a positive experience from A to Z, that the setting, the service, the attention must also be at the menu level? "This used to be a great place for lunch or dinner, particularly out of the regular hours. Unfortunately it is no more. I went twice lately. Once, for dinner, service was rather poor and food average. The second time, it was for lunch. We were two. One of our main courses was weird (lemon put a mushroom cream! and the other wrong (not what we ordered . Unfortunately, we had limited time so could not ask the kitchen to cook it again so we ate what was given to us. Not good, but rather expensive (main course are priced between CHF 45 and CHF 65 ! Sadly, it seems the Brasserie Grand-Chêne is no more an option for a decent meal in Lausanne."

"This place was a bit pricey, but worth it. We ordered the four course tasting menu with wine pairing. Coming from Texas, the meat course was a little underwhelming, but the scallops and wine pairings made this a strong finish. And my personal favorite, they let you substitute the dessert for a cheese plate. Highly recommend, especially if you are a savory over sweet person like me."

"The place has a beautiful view overlooking gardens and a stunning lake ..... the staff were extremely attentive and helpful and walked us through the menu..... As there were too many enticing choices on the menu I decided to go for the summer tasting menu .... the first course was an oscietre caviar with cucumber on a thin black currant infused jelly ..... it was a well balanced mixture of delicate flavors and very refreshing would definitely recommend it highly .... next came the crayfish in shellfish butter and carrot mouse ..... was also good but have had better ..... this was followed by the sea bass which was the star of the night .... it was just perfect ..... an absolute treat .... and finally before the cheese board came the veal from Lucerne which was the weakest dish of the evening and average at best .... the cheese board was outstanding and had a huge variety to select from ... all in all a good experience and a great location. Definitely worth coming and sitting outside and enjoying the view ...."

"Nice atmosphere in this Italian restaurant. Decoration is pretty and classy. It is not cheap, so you expect the whole experience to be of a certain level. Unfortunately, the fake croco placemat is stapled (!!!) and the menu is worn out. A pitty. Service is nice and professional. The Italian lady is very welcoming. The eggplant parmigiana is excellent although it tastes reheated – but that type of dish tastes better so. The pasta is fresh but doesn’t taste homemade. The lobster risotto is well cooked and tasty, but for CHF 45.-- you expect more than flaked lobster. Lots of butter, which makes it tasty indeed, but a bit heavy. Wines are good (we tried 2). There are only 6 red wines, and one of them is not available. We weren't offered to look at the wine list, I don't know if there is one, so we chose among the 5 available wine in the mentioned in the menu. As a result, food is good, a bit on the pricy side and some adjustments are needed."
