"I live right around the corner from Chef Greg 's Soul N The Wall . I 've been wanting to share a review for a while, and photos of my food. The problem is that his cooking is so damn good, I forget to take out my camera before I 've eaten it all. Chef Greg is the truth, and the next time you have a taste for soul food, this is the one. He cooks stuff up by order though, so plan in 15-20 minutes for your order."

"This place was amazing. BBQ was great, bar was amazing, seating was good. Ordered the big three last night and I wanted to come back for lunch today because it was so good. Bourbon on the bar was well priced. Service was impeccable. Overall for the food the big three was good. order was brisket, chicken, then pulled pork. The sauces were good but even better once paired with the food. Favorites were mustard, apple, and nc. They take reservations and it would probably be a good idea to get one. Also the front door is disguised. Don't be confused when walking up. Lastly the parking enforcement is aggressive. Be careful when parking."

"Food was great! Just in Detroit for the day and wanted good food. My friend brought me and my children to Steve on a Sunday and we naturally expected a line and a long waiting period. Waiting existed but was not terrible. The truth is that we could wait twice as long and it was still worth it. The food was great! The wings were a crispy hit that would have used a little more spices during the cooking process, but still solid standard. The pages were all delicious. The absolutely best part had to have been the fried fish. It was the one-sided master of dinner this night. The only thing that really lacked was the coconut cake that was sad because all previous foods were only despicable. The coconut cake was simply sweet and it lacked the depth of the taste with which a real South chocolate cake had been expected. Perhaps better/fresh coconut could have been the savior of this dessert. But unfortunately, they still have 5 stars with a strong side view and stellar nets led by the perfect fried catfish."
