"Great food, good variety of drinks, the taco selection is nice. You do wait in line and order from a point of sale then find your seat but it?s not a bad process. Great scenery and multiple stories for seating. The wait staff is very attentive even tho you don?t have a dedicated sever. Great experience at The Spot!"

"Visited Skallywag's one afternoon while visiting the Strand area in Galveston Harbor. After drinking a cold Dos XX, I decided to try a half order of their Nacho's. The nachos were very good filled with pulled pork, Texas chili and the rest of the fixins and that half order was huge. Great spot for a cold drink and good food options. They do have outdoor seating to enjoy the weather."

"Would Highly Recommend, great meats very tender and sauces were awesome. The girl behind the counter was very helpful and was very upbeat. I had what they call the Meat Coma, its 1/4 each of three different kinds of meat. I chose Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Boudin. For my 2 sides I had Green Beans and tomatoes in Butter Garlic sauce, and Chef Ara's Mac Cheese. When my food came out of the Kitchen it was on a Wooden Cutting Board from Ikea and not a plate thought this was very euniqe and cool."

"My man and I love being sworn. we stumbled over this place three years ago on our first wedding anniversary and as a tradition on the way back. the hump spices are delicious! ribeye has always cooked to perfection. the coffee is great with the signature chocolate cake. if they are looking for the perfect jubilee restaurant, it is."

"My wife and I ate dinner here after several hours at the beach. What a fun place! Great food, great service, friendly staff and a beachy atmosphere: what more could you ask for? After eating and resting, we walked right out to the Strand and continued to enjoy all that Historic Galveston has to offer. We will be back when we return to the island."

"Delicious coffee and with several different vegan milk options to choose from, though be sure to specify! Iced and hot specialty coffees, BUT you might also need to pay attention for any dairy-based syrups (mine was fine by default). The vegan zucchini cake is worth trying for sure, too!"
