"Don’t be misled by the ranking (currently #42). This is the BEST bbq in town. I have eaten at all the rest, including C&J, Rudy’s, etc. Also, this is a more upscale place. It is relatively new and clean. They have a GREAT bar with a lot of tvs. Aiden is a great bartender. Troy is so friendly. The owners are awesome people who make you feel at home. I enjoy Saturdays with my wife at the bar watching ball games. All the meats are great. The sides are generally good, too. The cole slaw, potato salad and green beans are not exceptional but adequate. Everyone’s taste in these seems to vary. The best sides are the twice baked potatoes and the jalapeno mac n cheese. These should please anyone."

"Wings were awesome but could use more sauce, garlic parm fries were blah. Service was inconsistent and our waitress was a bit flighty. It wasn't terribly busy but most of the tables were still dirty from patrons that had already left. The pile of (clean) napkins on our table were stained with sauce from whoever had sat there before us. Place could be so much better if the staff cared more. "I drive by 1976 BBQ almost everyday and finally decided to stop wondering and actually try it out! It’s been my go-to BBQ spot from that day on. My 5yo and I had chopped beef sandwiches together at the picnic tables. They have the perfect lean to fat ratio (more lean and I ordered a little of everything for dinner that night (try the bacon-wrapped-stuffed chicken thighs! Every side was delicious especially the potato salad, cream corn, baked beans, and mac … and the sauce is awesome! Everything Bo puts out is delicious. The dinner I bought at lunchtime was just fine reheated for our dinner party. I stop by at lunch and get protein for my salads and it’s perfect! Quit driving by and stop! "If no one would recommend this place, the food looks good, but is far from it. The wings I had were dried out. The rice had a funny vinegar taste on it, Mac n cheese? had no taste on what ever. Jamaican? Eat, I don't think I want to try it again."

"Beautiful restaurant. Vegan options are clearly marked in the menu and some changes have a small charge. that since then is quite amazing. it is spicy and crispy on the right wise and goes well with the vegan aioli. the vegan waffel served with the side was a bit bland for my taste. I've never been a lot of waffles. the riders were also solid, if not something underseasoned, but nothing too bad. in the future I would probably go alone for the since then and some fries or the kartoffel bite their lunchtime or avocado toast when it is breakfast. all in all this is an excellent option in what can be a challenging place to eat as vegan."

"This was one of the easiest 5 star ratings I’ve ever given (easier than the squatty potty). The burnt ends were so good. You can’t even get burnt ends at most BBQ places. All the sauces are homemade and delicious. The cornbread muffins are mislabeled. They’re more like cornbread cupcakes. Everything we ate was top notch. For those who have kids, my kids had the bacon Mac and cheese and loved it. And of course, cornbread cupcakes."

"Can't recommend this place enough! We got a whole roasted pig for a big event and it was fabulous! The meat was incredible and the sauce was unbelievably delicious. Frank was also super helpful and very pleasant to work with. Thank you for making our event so special!"
