"Tony is a nice host. the rooms were clean, but rather cold, although we were given a portable heating. the tap in the bathroom had water that smells like a canal when she turned it on perhaps a ventilation problem. there was no hot water, but tiny had mentioned. the pilot light sometimes breaks out with high winds. I personally wouldn't stay here again. good for warmer time of the year maybe. the beds were comfortable and the eucalyptus restaurant and the bar next door is fantastic."

"We stopped once for snacks when staying at another hotel and enjoyed the view and breeze from our table and chairs which are made from huge tree stumps etc..recycled. Setting is pretty. We also "stayed" at the mawimbi and ate here several times.Keep in mind this is a restaraunt that is part of the Mawimbi..it's not a "beach club"...if occupancy is low they "may" rent a chair but they do try to keep it a calm, serene setting for their guests. We loved their huge Margarita's on the rocks, their ceviche and shrimp ceviche HUGE and so good. Enjoyed their pico and chips as well as Guac and chips. The bartenders are lovely and the pace is nice and relaxed. The bathrooms are nice and clean too which to me says alot of the place you are dining. Toes in the sand dining with swaying palms and stellar ocean view...this is the place..."

"Came here based on recommendations and it did not disappoint. It's a few blocks out from the town square, but don't let that deter you from visiting. Everything we got was absolutely delicious and fresh! I got the seafood stuffed avocado (among other things) and it was by far the best! This place is a must if you're in Holbox."

"The sushi was too expensive for the quality. All of the sushi rolls fell apart and it was not the best sushi we’ve ever had if it comes to the taste. We noticed that every roll had a light taste of ginger and we are not the biggest fans of ginger. The service was really great."

"El restaurante no es el más bonito y nada de vista, pero la comida quizás fue la mejor que comimos en Holbox, entiendo porque tiene 5 estrellas de tantas personas, el servicio es profesional, y los nachos frescos recién hechos, todo super original."
