"Booked Meal Friday's music event for 8pm. Pianist did not show up. No music at all. (Not even background music). Ambience poor as most people seemed to be there for event. We were looking forward to the meal event as we were only in London for 4 days. Would not really recommend cheese platter as there is hardly enough for one person, never mind to share. Main meal was fine. Staff were pleasant. However, manager did not advise that the pianist was not coming until well after 9pm. Customers seemed to leave quite soon after that. A disappointing evening."

"This was the second Pizza Express that we ate at as a bus tour was ending. This is off James Street which is off Oxford Street for any who are interested. Lots of restaurants on James Street. We found the pizza good and the beer cold. Could not ask for more. This is near the (Thistle) Amba Hotel Marble Arch for those interested."

"If u are craving authentic italian pizza this is your place.Added bonus is that they are open till late than other restaurants.Tried their dough balls and padana pizza and both were really well prepared.Special thanks to the staff as they were really prompt in their service."

"Despite a lovely location, we were disappointed by our meal here. It was not cheap by any means but we were served pizzas that were evidently not cooked fresh. Pizzas even tasted worse than the supermarket range Pizza Express sell it was as if they had been cooked from frozen with a soggy base. Very unimpressed that upon ordering a single portion of dough balls they served us the double portion (which cost twice as much) that we hadn’t asked for. The toilets were disgusting and there was mould on the walls on the way to the bathrooms. Service was satisfactory but nothing special. Furthermore, our valid discount code from O2 which (we have used at other branches with no issue) was refused stating ‘a problem with the system’. We asked about using the UNiDAYS student code too and were told the same. To conclude, we will not be returning and will be suggesting to any friends who are thinking of going here that they eat elsewhere."

"A birthday dinner in front of the theatre for a family of 5. We got an email confirmation, but when we arrived, we were told that they had no booking. After a conversation they succeeded, 5 in a table of 4. The food was fine, as it lies right next to Leicester Square. I would go back, but would check the booking."

"I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease 18 years ago and frankly I have in all of that time NEVER had a decent pizza………..until today. I met my son in London and we went to Pizza Express in Millbank near Westminster. A delightful waitress called Chiara attended our table and took our order. I requested a Gluten-free Romana Burnt-Ends pizza and a Gluten-free Peroni. Our order came out in a short period of time. The beer was lovely -but the pizza was on another level. The pizza-chef ‘Unay’ made me a lovely, moist and tasty pizza. This was unlike any Gluten-free pizza I’d had before. It was not dry -it was not hard or biscuit-y -it was not difficult to digest. But it was tasty and unlike any other GF pizza. I must commend the waiting staff, the pizza chef and the commitment of the company to offer a decent allergy option. Lots of restaurants talk the talk -but Pizza Express really walked the walk. I will definitely revisit and these members of staff truly went the extra mile to meet my dietary needs."
