"Beautiful, modern country pub. excellent service of happy coworkers and good Sunday dinner. a simple 5 stars of us, thank you. but will we come back soon? probably not, sad. Although very elegantly presented the meal were warm rather than hot, served on hardly warm plates. the amount of meat was positiw stingig. my partner chose the meat bark that was served pink and ran blood through the engraving. I do not really understand this type of serving pink roast beef: it is difficult and difficult to cut and chew. what's the point, unless it's sirloin maybe. but topside? nar, it just doesn't work! the teller weep for something green and I thought maybe a beside dish to share from chopped savoy kohl and brokkoli, I'm not a cook, but it needed something. Anyway, there was a lot to love about the hind’s head, but the sunday lunch market is competitive and I fear to say we know many farms that serve an ever more satisfying meal. keep them the good work and I hope they find this review constructive and helpful."

"You have to pre book your visit and the gardens are only open 3 days a week. The entrance times are staggered and we chose the earliest one at 11.00 am. On arrival we were quite surprised to find the car park really busy, although some cars probably belonged to staff and volunteers. There was a queue to get in but it didn't take too long to be admitted. The gardens are beautiful but, due to the narrow paths between flower beds, it was impossible to social distance. By the time the 12.00 noon people arrived, it was far too busy to be enjoyable or safe. We went for lunch about 12.20 pm and had to queue for 45 minutes to get served. The lunch was tasty, very fresh and competitively priced so no complaints about the quality. Overall it would have been a fantastic day out if the number of people attending was reduced."
