"That is a rural area, so we say that it is a landside restaurant, as well as the dishes. the codfish is amazing, is done on a rustic wise, simple, but good quality. the beside courts, especially sweet are also top quality, directly from the farms. the waiters are very nice and friendly. So, do not fool her themselves come to this place on the look for a gourmet experience, it is more like a land-side house made style, with excellent product quality."

"We were in Madeira a week ago staying in Calheta. We'd seen the reviews and thought we'd try this place. A good find. Sure there's places on the harbour that might be a bit showier, but this place just serves good honest food with a...good friendly service. What more do you want? The garlic bread was amazing, while my wife and myself shared a garlic prawns that were so fresh they almost swam to the table! My wife had the steak sandwich as she wasn't feeling too hungry! Wow what a sandwich with steak, cheese, ham, a fried egg and salad, all served with some really great hand made chips. I had the stefarda which had loads of garlic butter dripping off it, served with salad rice and chips! All washed down with a few beers! The service was really good and really friendly. If you want good local food this is the place to go. Get there now!!!!!"
