"Good food at this local gem in South Kensington. Service was a bit stretched on our night out and we often had to flag down fstaff but otherwise good. However the food is quite good and portions are generous. Ambiance is good for small groups. There is a full bar and good selection of wines too."

"We had the carrot cake slice. But it was stale. Went back to the nice lady and she immediately apologized and replaced it with a delicious piece! Didn’t know why it happened but was happy to have this resolved quickly."

"This place is very convenient when they stay in Earl’s court area! eating itself is pretty, but could be better. the restaurant is just a few minutes from the train station. sad it is only open until we arrive. were greeted and taken on our table that was in the corner, which was quite a nice place to sit, as it was not too loud and visible for everything. eating was quite average, not misunderstood, we had meal times that were divided. one of them was amazing what a green thai curry was. the other meal was average, the sweet was not fresh, the noodles were tasteless, and the dish was covered with chili that made it almost unessable. overall the place was in order, there is room for improvement, but still worth a visit. the best place to visit I would say is to"

"It is named canteen so didn't go with any pretensions..simple place and was clean... The food have to say was tasty and a fairly good quality for a good price especially considering the area... Was very happy with the service who went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating ... So for a quick bite...very recommended"

"We have been customers here for over 19 years, so you can surmise we like and enjoy the place. The coffee is excellent. The toasted cheese bun is savoury and filling, and to top things up we take home boxed custard tarts. The clientele is varied and interesting. The tiled shop warm and cosy inside and the tables and seating outside provide for the warmer weather."

"5* service and food was unbelievable. A beautiful restaurant with wonderfully authentic menu. My only negative was the music choice, Justin Beiber and Taylor Swift on loud was a drawback to the atmosphere and experience. The music was changed towards the end of the evening to traditional and more authentic (and volume was reduced slightly) which was great. Will definitely be back."
