"We visited this coffee shop with full expectations how could we be so wrong in thinking so!! What a disappointment. We visited with the family during our holiday stay at Clacton on sea, the staff were miserable unhelpful and had no personality for this job supposed to be making customers happy and not unhappy with there visit. We ordered coffees they took about twenty minutes or more to appear to the table our food arrived before the drinks, I ordered a granary bread chicken and Sweetcorn sandwich with Mayo, the bread was clearly and obviously stale!!! I complained to a member of staff she says she would let the chef know, when she came back she said that bread was from our suppliers and we don’t have any concerns with them I said well you should tell them that the bread that they are supplying to you isn’t fresh bread, I did get a refund but that was the principle of my annoyance as my mum also complained as she had the same bread and she also agreed that the bread was stale too!!! When the waiter served to her the sandwich part of the crust fell on the floor, which just goes to show you how stale the bread was!! She reluctantly ate the sandwich as we aren’t usually ones for complaining when she went to complain to another member of staff she disagreed with my mum and said no we aren’t giving you your money back knowing full well that she had just refunded mine due to the same reason and the same loaf of bread being used!! Absolutely terrible customer service the rest of the staff were ganging up with the member of staff at the counter to the customer which is totally wrong all bits of kids with no idea!! I will not recommend this coffee shop and will not be returning if visiting in the future!! Very very poor!!"

"Soya Oat milk an extra 60p which we were not made aware of when ordering. This made the hot chocolate £4.10 which I find quite expensive and the same with the tiny amount required for a cup of tea. Other than that very friendly service and the food drink was nice."

"Dropped in here to pick up some food to take home. We had Lemon cake, bread pudding , a cookie and a fruit loaf. Also took home cornish pasties. The girl serving was friendly and helpful. There is a side area which has seating...and I'm sure it would be great to have an afternoon tea. The food I bought was fantastic."

"Took my nan for a cup of tea, went in to order- ladies working behind till were all squashed together and passing each other plates mugs etc.. no control over amount of people touching crockery! Plates of served food waiting to be taken out had...a fly on them "

"We have been spoilt by a local place just down the road, so we wanted to try somewhere different. The veg was cold and sloppy, potatoes were nice the meat was overdone and dry. We have been before but found most of the dishes were microwave meals which a lot of places do nowadays unfortunately"

"Met with my friend for a coffee cake and a catch up and a nice cool mango juice which was delicious.The staff were lovely and the service was good Then we did a spot of shopping in Next. However, I visited the toilet before we left and I have to say COSTA they were dirty the toilet brush was disgusting and if that is the hygiene standards of Costa I'm not sure I will visit them again. Please Please sort this out ASAP it was disgusting."

"I don't use this station much, but was impressed by fresh filter coffee with cream and a freshly made bacon sandwich for £4. By 9am it was packed and no wonder! I wish them every success"

"Visited for the first time after lockdown.Used to be a regular customer.Bacon baguette roll £3.75 for one small rasher of bacon with no salad.Looking sad pathetic on an empty plate. Bland tasteless burger chips dripping in grease.Food drink prices have gone up significantly for what used to be a good basic menu.Better off going to Wetherspoons across the road where at least you won't feel ripped off.Won't bother coming back.Avoid."
