"Direkt an der B 75 gelegen, gut mit Parkplätzen ausgestattet (5*). Die Räumlichkeiten mit ihrer Bestuhlung wirken "aufgeräumt" und nüchtern, aber einladend (4*). Die Akustik ist wegen der Einrichtung und Räume etwas laut (3,5*). Das Ambiente in Gänze dadurch 3,5*. Der Service ist gut (famliengeführtes Restaurant) 4*. Das Angebot an Speisen und Getränken ist ebenfalls gut (4*). Wir hatten Calamari und einen Grillteller nebst Schafskäse-Vorspeise. Die Calamari waren sehr gut. Der Grillteller wie üblich beim Griechen lecker, aber das Schwein etwas zu trocken und das Hackfleisch etwas zu salzig. Gyros und Lamm sehr gut. Getränke gut. (3,5*). Hieraus ergibt sich für mich ein Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis von 4*. Gesamturteil 3,45*. Das Restaurant würde ich jederzeit weiter empfehlen."

"In addition to the Merhaba, which I have already mentioned here, the city centre of Lübeck with the Ali Baba will find another starting point for oriental cuisine, which can also be understood as a classic evening restaurant and not just as a snack. Ironically, it is just a stone's throw from Merhaba, also in the neighborhood of the Marienkirche. However, as the offer of the Ali Baba also includes a lunch ticket, I returned here in April 2018 once. The restaurant draws attention from the outside through its deep red paint of the otherwise white house. A red awning donates some shade to the small outdoor areas on the walkway in summer. The interior architecture, which shows itself after passing through the curtain installed as a wind trap, seems to be taken over by a classic German restaurant. A white wall colour is combined with dark wood tones, with the guest room being distributed around a central slender/bar. Some oriental flair is provided with small ornament accessories and pictures, as well as the typical silver tablets on the tables. A beautiful atmosphere where I might have wanted a little more substance for living. The woman who works at this lunchtime in the service cannot be highlighted as a big negative, but nothing extraordinary praise. The restaurant was empty at my time of visit, so that she is busy with her tablet in the inevitable idling. That would not be a problem if she hadn't looked at videos with sound. That bite with the otherwise pleasant background music in the restaurant, it should be stressed that the volume was not overbordening and therefore unbearable. For a full score this should not happen, of course. Otherwise she was definitely friendly, but at the same time not especially warm or communicative. Even though the lunch offer was available during my visit, I was interested in the “Bezelye Tava” dish from the regular card, which of course was still served. It is a pea pan from the oven with onions, carrots, mushrooms, beans, bulgur and garlic yoghurt. “Bezelye Tava”: pea pan from the oven with onions, carrots, mushrooms, beans, bulgur and garlic yoghurt. In addition, some bread was added, which was nicely warm, easy and therefore noticeably fresh. A sufficient portion was served for 9.9€, which still came wonderfully hot steaming. The classic, natural and cool yoghurt sauce gave the appropriate temperature contrast. The Bulgur had the desired loose consistency and also the vegetables were thoroughly cooked. All in all, therefore, a handcrafted perfectly prepared food that only missed the last peat in the sense of an expected oriental spice, since all the ingredients were quite natural. Thus, it was tasty, but not a lasting pleasure. The short conclusion of this lunch in the Ali Baba would therefore be so loud for me that the price-performance ratio is quite right, but one should not at the same time come up with the expectation of a culinary and atmospheric Orient fireworks here."

"Diesen Griechen findet man nicht so einfach, da er sich in einer Wohnsiedlung befindet. Wir sind regelmäßig dort - ein wirklich echter Grieche mit toller Küche, freundlicher Bedienung und einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre, fernab von neuartig-moderner Einrichtung der immer wieder aus dem Boden sprießenden Griechen in Lübeck. Man fühlt sich wohl, wird gut bekocht und kann einen gemütlichen Abend verleben! Preis-Leistung stimmt hier ebenfalls!Der Vorspeisenteller ist eine absolute Empfehlung und eignet sich ebenfalls als Hauptgericht!"

"I was only staying one night in Lübeck, I searched Trip advisor of course and found this lovely little Gem. Staff very friendly, Brasilian music in the back ground and the food perfect. I like my steaks RED basically alive just suntanned, I am sometimes...scared to order it that way as some chefs have no idea on how to cook it. Guess what? This one did. It was a rump Steak just the way I want it. Perfect. The decor is nice and the clientele seems mixed : young people, families and business men like me. Would I come back? Yes for sure. Keep the good chef."

"We were the first to eat there and it was very nice experience! The service was very warm and polite. The food was very authentic, good ingredients, vegetables crisp and fresh, meat very well prepared and everything even very healthy! We ordered another bottle of Indian wine. It was worth it every time. The Mango Yoghurt drink should also be tasted and mango snaps at the end. A really nice evening we would like to repeat and invite our friends and family to. Thank you."

"In other reviews, I already read that you are a little intrusive in Papadopoulos. I didn't feel that way. Very friendly, polite and humorous. By balance so very pleasant. The food tasted excellent and the prices were anything but translated, very fair. The required explanations of Greek food were perfectly clear. Something human when we were there."
