"This Nuba Gastown is the worst place we have ever been. It is nothing like the Nuba Yaletown. We waited 20 mins before finally getting served. Don’t know her name she was friendly, but seemed like a deer caught in headlights. She took our order which was hummus and pita appy, dinner was a Grilled Mixed Mezze for 2 people. Also a bottle of Rose’ which was the bright spot of our dinner. We got all our food before even getting our wine which came 5 mins later. Waitress did a disappearing act after we got our wine. I don’t mind pouring my own wine, but the whole dinner. She finally came by at the end of meal asking how it was, told her a grilled meal means it comes out hot or at least warm. Says I’ll tell someone. You would think a manger would come by and say sorry. Nope. Travis was a waiter serving other tables and realized we were not be looked after. So he took it upon himself to help us out.if anyone reads this and choses to try this place make sure you ask for Travis as I noticed he really looks after his tables. It seemed to us our food was served from a buffet or was leftovers sent from the other Nuba’s which are in high end neighbourhoods. We chose this one because it was close to Queen ElizabethTheater before the play. This is the first bad review I have ever done. I don’t like doing it, but if no one comes too ask or apologies then this is the only way to get point out to NUBA Gastown. ."

"Today, I finally stopped by the restaurant that caught my eye many times before, and I'm thrilled that I did. The food was absolutely scrumptious, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. This bustling establishment had a great atmosphere, and the portions were so generous that I had leftovers to enjoy later. I highly recommend trying their impressive mix grill and various dishes from their extensive menu."

"I have visited this place twice. The food here is very good. The goat karahi is out of the world. It's very difficult to cook mutton so well and both the times we went there the meat was so well cooked that it sort of just melts in your mouth ! The butter chicken was yummy and tangy again the chicken is cooked to perfection. <br/ <br/ The seekh kabob was not as good as the entrees. So the second time we skipped the appetizers and went straight to the curries. <br/ <br/ The establishment is small and do expect to wait during busy hours. We went in just before 7 pm on a Sunday and by 715 they were asking customers to wait for upto 25 mins."

"We've been coming here for many years, and it is as consistent as the first time we went, probably 25 years ago. Good caesar salads, great pastas, great veal Milanese, nice fish, and a very good wine list (not crazy expensive, just good choices). The service is also excellent. Owner Paulo and his sons and some longtime veteran waiters make you feel at home and comfortable at all times."

"When you don't feeling like watching a game with pizza, we call Handi for takeout. I'm East Indian so I'm a bit fussy about Indian food and the food here is really good!! Order whatever you think is interesting. It's all yummy!! You won't go wrong. Btw if you try to eat at the restaurant on a Sunday night, you'll have to wait!! It's super busy. We went at 6pm and were able to get a table"

"Food and decor were very good and it was a little on the pricier side. The non alcoholic drinks are really unique and yummy. Service was very slow. We waited 30m+ for our cheque and a to go box.This has nothing to do with the staff, and maybe it was just unlucky, but the table next to us was talking about how awful trans people are and I saw another group look in disgust at a visibly queer couple and asked to be reseated away from them. Really killed the vibe."
