"Recently tried this restaurant for the first time. I ordered a small, chicken soup with extra vegetables. The broth was excellent - ingredients were very fresh. Portion for a take away item was great too. I will definitely return and try other items on the menu soon."

"Best General Tao's I have had in the city. Always spicy and good portion size. Singapore vermicelli is a great compliment to the General Tao's IMHO. Cannot comment on other dishes but we always order this combination and are never dissatisfied."

"I had a combo platter last week and was extremely disappointed. The rice was over cooked and Bland. The chicken balls were tough, and the veggies were also over cooked. I'm usually not one to complain but it was not good ."

"If you only eat with your eyes, you would be disappointed if you ate it, horrified!! Then we don't expect Michelin stars again, do we?... But I expect a decent meal!! This is trash I'm going to insert under my Google review... I'm not a hate, but... if I pay over $100, I expect a delicious meal... I accept a mistake or two, but not a court was near yummy!!"

"My favourite Chinese takeout was closed for some holiday time - very upsetting - so I had to get my order from elsewhere. My Google research showed Country Place as the closest to home, seemed reasonably priced, had the menu online, offered free fried rice with a minimum $38.00 order - no problem since we were 6 for dinner - and had a decent review. We were able to closely duplicate the dishes that we were used to, including Cantonese Chow Mein, Buddah's Delight (a mixed veggie assortment with tofu), General Tsao's, a beef and broccoli dish, chicken with mixed vegetables, and something else which I can't remember. The quality was very good all around, especially the beef and broccoli, although in general, I felt that the vegees were a bit over cooked. While the free fried rice was included, it was a bit surprising that plain steamed rice was not. 6 dishes for the six of us plus one (small) egg roll each was just right, with only a bit of leftovers. I would indeed go back to Country Place, should my local takeout have the nerve to be closed again !! Please note that any additional comments are based strictly on takeout, and not eat in."

"A small restaurant in a small square suitable for picking up orders with about half dozen tables in a clean and bright room. for sitting you will find an extensive menu of classic Cantonese dishes: a bit sweet in most dishes...and not as oily as in the old days. for a large group, the service is quite fast ordered we in advance all 10 dishes came in short order: portions are cut, eating is acceptable. steamed turbot in soy sauce, sweet dish, scallop with broccoli and mushroom: chicken kung pao: sweet and acidic catastrophe."

"That was our first visit in this restaurant. we wanted to support the locals. we ordered the chicken curry $14,75,) the chili jumbo shrimp $18) and the malaysian fried noodles $14) for picking up at a certain time. everything was ready and packed when I arrived....The curry and noodles were rated two hot and that was appropriate. both dishes were well prepared and delicious. the chili jumbo shrimp was a disappointment. rated as 3 hot, it met this standard. although tasty the dish was mostly sauce and the few garnel were certainly not found jumbo. this court was not worth $18. it will take a long time to come back."
