"Nishino is a solid sushi restaurant in Madison Park area, but nothing compelling to return to. The ambiance reminded me of an older cruise ship style muted tones, white linen table cloths, basic nonthreatening appearance. Any restaurant could be here. They had a small white board with specials written on it that they brought table to table. Felt a bit weird. My friend and I were the first customers of the night and they sat us against the wall. Not a problem. I noticed the table density was tight it wasn't possible for the waiter to turn around between our table and the table next to ours without stepping out and then stepping back in. I thought no biggie, I bet this place will not be full by the time we leave so no worries. The next party of two they sat at this closest table. Not to either table against the same wall as the table we were against despite that they were at a much more comfortable distance away and the one never was occupied while we were there. Nope, they sat this party of two right beside us and I felt like we were part of their conversation. I learned more about these strangers than I think they'd be comfortable with.Now Nishino isn't a basic sushi restaurant. They marinate their fish. They are quite heavy handed with their vinegar. I didn't mind it, but it was certainly noticeable. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll along with a variety of nigiri. The nigiri was solid. The shrimp tempura roll was more cucumber bits and rice than it was shrimp. I don't need a wide roll I am fine with a narrow roll that tastes like the primary item versus being drowned by the others. The multitude of cucumber slivers also didn't hold up. They'd fall out of the roll the instant the seaweed wrapper was broken.The waitstaff was delightful. Very polite, very prompt. They are the reason I'm giving this three stars versus two. It's a solid restaurant but in a city with no end to sushi restaurants I can't see a reason to return."

"With our favorite hawaiian restaurant closing we were having a craving and decided to give this place a try, the service an food were excellent, the spam musubi was different from what I was expecting but it was still good, the fish was also very tender and not to heavy from the batter. If you need a little piece of Hawaii I would recommend this establishment."

"We were a bit disappointed with this restaurant. It is rated very highly with TripAdvisor and we were looking forward to a unit dining experience. It was not the case. They were short staffed and did not have a server, so one of the owners was waiting on us and running around trying to take care of everything himself. It was unfortunate. The food was average at best, we have been to Hawaii and will be traveling back this summer again, as a result we were expecting authentic food and ambiance. It may have been an off night, but nonetheless we were disappointed overall."

"A great place to go for a night out. We shared a serve of Lentil Croquettes as a starter (uses the same base as the veggie burger). We tried the Garlic Greens Phyllo Roll which was the highlight of the night and I would definitely recommend. Another member of our party had the veggie burger with salad. Our server was knowledgable about vegan options pointing out what we could have and lamented that there was no vegan dessert offering yet."

"I've visited here numerous times, and will keep coming back. The food here is cooked to perfection and I can pretty much guarantee you won't leave here hungry. You get hearty portions of food here. Plus the employees have been very courteous and helpful with the various menu items. The place is clean and workers make periodic rounds keeping it clean. It's a pretty big menu so no doubt you will find something to liking. I had the chicken and fish on my last visit and you get rice and macaroni salad. You also get sauces to go along with the fish and chicken--excellent dipping sauces. The meats were cooked to perfection and the sides were also great. This place is located at the northeast corner of Riggin St and Atlantic Bl. If you happen to be in the Atlantic Square, you will have to park to the north or east as the restaurant is at the very property edge/corner. I rate this place a solid five stars for great food and service."
