"Ordered take away tonight and the staff told us it would be 20-30 mins which was ok as it was a Friday night. Nothing to fancy Cantonese noodles, fried rice and noodles (ho fun) asked for no prawns but extra Chinese sausage. After waiting around...75 mins for our order I didn’t get any prawns in the noodles but I also didn’t get any Chinese sausage which is the star of the dish. If you have that many orders then just say it’s going to be an hours wait."

"Apart from the lack of interaction when we order from Menulog, we only had thumbs up until 15 mins after it was delivered. The food is usually acceptable but I was looking forward to the prawn crackers and they arrived stale. Not what we asked for."

"Very very good. Nice building, tasty food and not expensive. Plus they are open on Mondays unlike most other restaurants around the place all closed until Tues or Wednesday. That's no way to run a business. Definitely we will be back."

"Malayan visits orchid twice last week during work in Bendigo. It was during the Elvis show at Art Gallery, so it was almost impossible to get a table somewhere in View Street. When I first came at 8.30, I could only get a table without booking. The (new? front of house manager was fantastic and very hospitable, how was Pam when I last visited Pre-Covid. Both food and beverage service has improved for several years, less fussy, faster, simple menu etc. The wine list offers some great drops like the Mandurang Merlot at just $8 a glass. Bress Chardonnay is also excellent and very "priced". Premium wines to 'house wine' prices, this for $12 have seen a glass not far from there. The beef-endang share was huge, a considerable amount of beef considering that this is reduced for many hours. Small fried rice small part also very generous. The staff was above all under pressure. Thanks to the young man who worked the front counter who called me when a table was available as I had a booking a few nights later. Delicious food. Bookings are probably essential for the next few months."

"I have been coming to this restaurant regularly since the first week they opened, and have yet to have a disappointing experience. The atmosphere is delightful, the service usually low key but attentive. The food is really excellent across the full range of Thai dishes. My personal favorite is Chicken Mussaman, and in fact I've yet to find anywhere else that serves a mussaman to equal it."

"Really friendly service, fairly quick turnaround. Fairly expensive, when compared to dumpling places in Melbourne. for dumplings. Slight extra charge for sauce (takeaway only I ordered steamed pork dumplings. The soy sauce was unusually sweet a little off-putting. Otherwise, nice food"
