"Absolutely lovely venue, downstairs seating for a more private intimate meal, upstairs is more lively but great atmosphere. Menu was divine with most dishes being larger than expected (especially compared to some other tapas and or share style places in Leederville) Front courtyard is nice in the sun and with a good breeze, several sizes of tables to choose from Wine list was good and with the bar attached, you can order a special bottle for $15 corkage."

"Delightful! Very pleasantly surprised by our tapas. We are vegan and got: The Papas Bravas: they were crispy and well seasoned, Champiñones : a medley of uncommon wild mushrooms seasoned with a very well balanced and not greasy sauce, and cooked to perfect tenderness ! Ensalada de calabaza : excellent glaze on the pumpkin, not too sweet, with a smooth and light parsnip purée, delicate and unusual flavour We loved it! Would love more vegan options with protein, but what we had was impeccable! We’ll Go back"

"We had a made booking, but on arrival the tables had to be re-arranged to accommodate us. A party of we were given water, but asked to order drinks before all of our guests had arrived. Then we had to call the waitperson to...lodge our order, despite the restaurant not being busy. We chose from the share menu calamari (delicious), olives, broccolini, haloumi, polenta fries (which were a highlight), croquettes (tasty) , and meatballs which had to be ordered twice and came out as a second delivery'. Drinks were delivered after the food arrived one, an incorrect order which was accepted, but probably should have been sent back. The Sangria was lovely. Several of our party had dessert. One offering was unavailable, so they went with the ice cream with sherry (an interesting but tasty combination) and the chocolate lava cake with strawberries and nougat. The affogato was nice too! It is hard to recommend Duende as a dining experience, although the food was tasty, the service was insouciant (showing a casual lack of concern)."

"I was out riding and really fancied some sashimi for lunch. I cruised in to Northbridge but nothing was open so headed home. As I was riding through Leederville I wondered if the little place at the end of the walk through shopping bit was still there. I hadn't been in years but it turns out it was still there. They have a particularly impressive selection of items, and I chose a salmon sashimi and pickled octopus salad. They were $16 and were enough for both lunch and dinner. Salmon was really fresh and delicious. My only gripe was that the coleslaw base had no dressing, but I took it home and smothered it in mayo and sriracha sauce. Very happy to have found somewhere handy for a sashimi hit."
