"The question is that when you dine, do you like a restaurant that allows the chef to demonstrate her skills and creativity or prefer a place that caters to your taste and needs. Monteverdi shows off the skills of the owner and chef in presenting new twists to traditional Italian creations and totally new concepts. We first ordered a snack of prosciutto, butter, and radish. This consisted on a half of slice of rye plus the above ingredients. Nothing to right home about. We ordered three small plates consisting of an egg yolk raviolo, a gnochetti with pesto, and a cacio whey pepe. The pesto was fabulous but the pasta tasted more like cremettes that the light fluffy variety than we are familiar . The egg yoke was cold and not very pleasant on the palette . The spaghetti like cachio was good. Slightly spicy but very tasty and served hot. The raspberry sorbet was perfect. Great flavor and perfect temperature. The problem is that when we asked for a slight modification in some dishes because of allergic problems the staff was totally out of making any changes. The chef makes it that way and we don't make any changes to adjust to you problems was the message. Take or leave it. Many other restaurants in that same area with even more prestigious chefs always try their best to make the customer happy. With that many fine choices in that area, we will choose others in the future."

"Repeating customers who had a brilliant dinner a while ago returned this week for another experience. The tasting menu and wine pair is a must... expensive without doubt, but these people draw the most magical plates creations with mostly paired wines. Really amazing experience. Even the vegetarian tasting dishes were imaginative, beautifully decorated, and an explosion of flavors. Let 2 hours enjoy the experience."

"Was in town for a fun weekend with my girlfriend and we decided on Sardine based upon the previous reviews of this establishment. The pan-seared whitefish for $22 was way overcooked and the sauce was very heavy, the Orechiette pasta for $15 was not what we expected, it was a heavy pasta base and the broccoli rabe was extremely tart. Finally, Brittany our server didn't bring the first entrée's out at the same time and was quite inattentive. For $58 for the meal and a $7 tip, I would rather spend my money elsewhere. BOO Yah!"

"There is nothing about this place that isn’t perfect. Their regular menu is hit after hit after hit of majestically crafted small plate magic. Their catering will make your event flawless. Their special events and tasting menus are genius. If you try the bombolini and don’t immediately make it your god, renouncing all others, you should seek medical attention because there is something deeply wrong with you."

"The food was very delicious. we had a reservation and sat right away. we were placed in a small room from the mainbar and escaping area. our waitress was in order, she came and took our drink order. we received very tasty drinks. we ordered a starter and two small tellers. my little plate came out first before my salate and nothing was brought out for my man. almost 10 minutes passed before his food was taken out. we then ordered a second round and again more than ten minutes before making drinks. very disappointing. small plates are very small. very expensive for what they get. salat was good. the drinks were very good. this place just doesn't have quite together. will not hurry."
