"Wanting a chance to step outside of the United States using your taste buds? Encuentro Latino is a go to place! My husband and I frequent this establishment almost once a week to get our favorites with the kiddos. He prefers the Mojarra Frita (Fried Fish) but he also likes the Sopa de mariscos (Seafood Soup). Recently my favorite has become the Empanadas de pollo (Chicken Empanadas) that are normally served as an appetizer but they fill me right up! I also like the Crispy Chicken Tacos (Taquitos) and the Tortilla de Harina (Flour Tortilla) but in a vegetarian style. The kids will normally enjoy Nachos Guacamole with the homemade tomato sauce that my kids lick off the plate! Then they also ask for Chicken Tenders Fries. This is a great place to go even if you don't like spicy food because the spicy salsa can be added in (not normally served as a part of the dish). I prefer the homemade salsa here because I am weak when it comes to spicy food but Encuentro Latino doesn't make it in a way that burns my tongue! It is also great for a group of friends that have different tastes. For those of us that like to travel to Latin American countries, we will find a piece of our home again in enjoying the food and communicating with those who serve in the restaurant. For those of us who like our Burgers Fries, we can also still appreciate learning a little more about a different country, taking a chance to get lost in the photos and articles placed in this small but cozy place."

"This restaurant isn’t hard to find and is easy to order. The menu is straight forward.I ordered the carne asada. Typically, this is a marinated beef in a corn tortilla. The highlight of carne asada is usually spices and tender meat in corn tortillas. The carne asada I was served had almost no flavor. To say it lacked flavor would be an understatement. The most flavorful item on the plate was the onions which had little to no seasonings. The meat was cooked until there wasn’t any tenderness left in it. It was served as a slab and they provided a butter knife to cut the dry and tough beef apart. Maybe an off day or an oversight by the cook, but this was not a carne asada I would serve as a restaurant owner. Certainly not something to call authentic Mexican unless that term is just being used as a marketing."

"Anywhere that has $2 tacos in taco Tuesdays is the place to be. I met a friend, who was familiar with the place, but it was my first time. Half off grande sized margaritas for happy hour was glorious! I ordered the strawberry margarita which was strong and well-needed after a long work day. I ordered 3 tacos. The fish, beef barbacoa, and cauliflower. I really enjoyed the cauliflower and beef barbacoa tacos. I wasn’t impressed with the fish taco, it was too battered to my liking. But the complimentary chips and salsa was great. I ordered the guacamole as a side and was also delicious. I will be definitely be returning for taco Tuesday in the future!"

"A Honduran take on the Coney Island was well executed! Had breakfast there and had the Huevos de la Rancheros and the Huevos de la Mexicana. The Rancheros had a rich sauce similar to a Mole that was perfectly balanced out by the eggs, tostada, rice and beans! The Mexicana was light and delicious! There menu was right sized and prices were fantastic for the quality. Would come back for breakfast, but their lunch and dinner menu looked even more amazing with a good variety of Honduran options, such as pupusas, along with Coney Island classics like Coney dogs. Great find!"

"The people in line in front of me ordered the Kale Yeah smoothie, so I was provided a sample, and it was delicious. I came for lunch, so I got the southwest salad which was flavorful and a decent size for the price. The woman working brought me another sample while I was eating (spinach lemonade smoothie) that was also yummy. I’d definitely come back here next time I’m in the area."
