"Second holiday in Somerset and found paynes of Somerset. fantastic place selling fresh vegetables cakes jam's wines and ciders. also the takeaway food is something else. the pies are packed with meat and the hog roast pork is out of this world. we are going back to Somerset again next year and we will definitely be going back to paynes again. Well worth a visit if you're in the area."

"My husband and I and two friends called in here for lunch recently my husband and I had eaten here twice before so we recommended to our friends that it was a good lunch place to stop, none of us were disappointed. Three of us ordered a panini and my friend’s husband ordered the 12 oz burger it was massive with onion rings and we shared the fries we all enjoyed our food and they enjoyed the experience of the American actors,singers and the great music. Once again a great lunch. The ladies loos were spotless as per usual, as I said we have eaten here three times at different times of the year and it has always been top notch great friendly waitress too no complaints from us, we shall look forward to visiting again next time we come down to Devon, we love it."

"Burnham was crowded with tourists, but this lovely little cafe down the quiet end of the High Street was perfect for a relaxed lunch. We had delicious paninis, followed by a yummy pecan slice. We enjoyed it so much we lingered for more drinks after...eating. It's hidden away in the quiet end of town but is well worth a visit!"

"Stopped here and hoc travelling through Bridgewater. Being in desperate need of coffee and breakfast we were seated quickly. Service was quite slow and indeed our orange juices never arrived. However the coffee and food were excellent. Good kids menu too and kids very welcome....Staff and customers with the exception of an old person who should know better really nice."

"Great local village pub in the heart of the cheddar gorge. Really friendly welcoming staff behind the bar. The young lady behind the bar was great and made an effort to also shout thank you and goodbye as we left. Food was really nice, good...portion size. Great cheese and biscuits on the desert menu. Booking is advised. Will definitely return."

"Came as recommended when we traveled south from Weston-Super-Mare. we knew it was good when 4 police cars arrived at the same time as we were, and they know where they got a great breakfast. large interieur, (especially modernized, we were told), beautiful staff, excellent eating served with a smile. it was busy and I guess it's in the rule. the breakfast we saw looked good, we didn't, (long drive, probably asleep), but what we had, including the coffee was great."

"I am so fussy with breakfast out but I think this was the best breakfast out I’ve ever had. Staff were so lovely and friendly and despite being in a tourist trap town it wasn’t badly priced at all. All breakfasts should come with double potatoes."
