"We were in six of which a celiac person. The card was for the mother's party and so a little limited. However we could choose according to our inclinations. good the fishing frog so also the duck liver jumped in the pan with apple cloves. the tournedos of beef was served on a slice of toasted bread and under a slice of duck liver, a kind of tournedos to the reddens. sin that the meat was too much cooked (just pink) in spite of asking for it to the blood. lasagna (for celiacs) did not like. Good desserts. wine paper not very large but there are good wines. good service but waiting for quite long dishes. very pleasant environment. you can also eat in the garden. who suffers from gluten intolerance or lactose here can eat well."

"I was really looking forward to dinner at this restaurant. Food: I got the 5 course tasting menu. The food was very good. The portions are large, and the whole table left feeling full. The courses were well paced and got increasingly larger as they progressed. They are happy to accommodate your dietary preferences for the tasting menu, to some extent. The food was well prepared and came out looking fabulous. The flavors were wonderful. We loved the food here. However, we inquired about pairing the food with wine. They did not seem to comprehend the notion, the wait staff did not understand wine at all and were of very little help in guiding us. This was both surprising and disappointing.Ambiance: Modern and wonderful, the entryway of the restaurant is spectacular. We loved the modern touches and the ambiance. However, we were one of three large tables occupied all evening, and the restaurant seem to lack spirit and seemed dead. Service: I thought the service here was average to bad. I arrived early, before the larger group, with the thought of getting a cocktail. The bar outside was open but the bartender seemed reluctant to serve me anything unless I had a reservation. Admittedly, I did not know the name on the reservation, or the party size or any detail for that matter, and he kept badgering me with questions until I asked if I should get a cocktail or leave. There was not a soul at the bar or the restaurant. As mentioned above, the staff know very little about the wine. They seemed to be going through the motions, not warm or friendly. Yes they were attentive but there was something missing. The tasting menu is great and well priced. However, the service can be a lot better."

"Wir haben uns das Canvetto Federale ausgesucht, weil es ich in der Nähe unseres Hotels befindet und die Bewertungen in Tripadvisor sehr gut waren. An einem Sonntagabend war das Grotto zwar nicht voll, aber gut besucht. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und der Aperitivo stand schnell auf dem Tisch. Wir haben uns für den Branzino al sale (Seebarsch in der Salzkruste) entschieden, der nur für zwei Personen erhältlich ist. Als Vorspeise hatten wir einen Gazpacho andaluz mit Garnelen. Die Suppe war von bester Konsistenz und leicht pikant gewürzt, der Fisch - am Tisch filetiert - war perfekt zubereitet und wurde mit Kartoffeln, Karotten, Zucchini und Spinat serviert. Die Weinempfehlung des freundlichen Kellners, eine Cuvée von Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco und Merlot von Tamborini passte hervorragend zum Fisch. Für ein Dessert war in unseren Mägen dann aber leider kein Platz mehr!Gerne wieder!"

"We stumbled into Osteria Cyrano as travel weary diners with no expectations from this unassuming place in a back street. However, the moment we walked in, we felt an instant warmth, welcoming atmosphere and delicious looking food. We enjoyed an exquisite meal on a tranquil...terrace with a delightful host who clearly take pride in this quality establishment, and rightly so!"

"This beautiful restaurant for good food and a great view especially in the night. the prices are not too steep, as other places in the opposite and the food proportion are quite large I was there shortly before dinner (so filled shortly before the place. all in all it is a great place to dinner in lugano"

"We had the set menu the first night and a la carte the next. Both evenings the food was delicious. The view from the window seats is gorgeous especially as darkness falls and the lights over the lake come on. The service was wonderful - you certainly felt special. The courses were plentiful and there was no hurry at any point during the meal - the first night we were there 2 and a half hours! Against - well the portions are small and although the food is excellent it is expensive. The fact we went twice however says it all!!"
