"The food and service was great as always. But… Because there were 9 of us, we weren’t allowed to use our free July gift vouchers this time. The manageress usually allows it, as the limit in the small print says maximum 8 people per group, but the new waitress wouldn’t allow it. Two tables next time 9 of us go?!?"

"Great hotel room and stay! Terrible food! Went for lunch/dinner, decided to have the burger, and my partner ordered the same, The burger patty was dripping in dark brown/black grease, dabbed off with napkin and started eating, no taste to it apart from oil! The lettuce was limp and wilted, came with chunky chips which were also saturated in the same tasting old oil. Left more than half of each dinner. In the morning we came down for the continental breakfast, this was so disgusting! Green mould on the bread for toasting, had a look for some non mouldy bread and toasted but tasted terrible so left it after one bite, so decided to have fruit instead, this consisted of sour off fruit with squidgy grapes and browning pineapple? Left that too, still hungry I toasted a crumpet, this was rock hard and stale! I gave up on eating after this point and poured a coffee, not even warm! Left the table, went up to the room to collect bags and checked out immediately. Will not stay again, which is a shame as nice suite with great view. Need new chef and vigilant attentive staffing"

"Fabulous. Five star service and the food was amazing. Lovely to find a restaurant with such good food and great wine at a very fair price. The dishes were fresh and had a good twist on the normal menu. The king prawns in chilli were the best I’ve had. Great can do attitude amongst the staff. Not local but we will definitely go back."

"I booked a party here and the manager nick was brilliant from the start. Good communication when booking and when leading up to the party date. When I arrived to set up the venue with decorations nick was there to greet me and got all staff helping to set up and make it look perfect! They went above and beyond to make the party run smoothly and was very helpful. I would 100% recommend rokka for party hire!"

"Had my first meal from here last night, was really nice lovely pork balls. One slight down side was the bbq ribs which didn’t have much flavour, but everything else was tasty"

"Our oldest daughter had eaten here before and enjoyed eating. modern european with a Caribbean swirl is a good overall description of the menu and the aromen and ingredients of the dishes I ordered, certainly boring. the salt fish and akee starters were light, tender and pretty with a good amount of taste. followed the spicy bark with garlic and broccoli strands. there was in my view exactly the right amount of heat that tasted the palette antique and the flesh in the mouth in a wonderful sauce. the maische was well made, but I would personally welcome more garlic and the broccoli was cooked directly with a small amount of bite. a large selection of dressed, my wife enjoyed the same main before the suppe of the day, flower cauliflower and kumin, that was silky smooth and lightly seasoned and my daughter did not lack for food, though vegan. after their appetizer the curtain followed a herbal curry with the same garlic mash instead of the rice. both set menus that are good for 2/3 dishes, and al a carter are available along with a good selection of wines and cocktails. I loved the ambiente, comfortable chairs, reasonable but inconspicuous music and attentive staff. we will come back when we visit margate."
