"On the cold diary March Sunday for lunch. Had a half rack (on special) for $14, a dry grated version, so I could try each of the three BBQ sauces. Duck Fries are great, but not worth the extra $2 charge. Macaroni and cheese were quite amazing. Pork ribs couldn't even keep on the bones. Great service, almost to the place for ourselves. If you want to focus on BBQ and not a place that generalizes on a broader offer, this is your place."

"We enjoyed the Hawaii theme. The food was delicious, but my spouse thought the pig needed “flavor”. Portions are perfect. We noticed students with smiles and needed information about menu items. Very clean and looking forward to return"

"Set an online order for delivery with an estimated time of 30 minutes. After an hour and 45 minutes, our order arrived. But our food was cold, they gave us the wrong salad. You also forgot the sauces we ordered (and paid extra). When I called back the store to tell them about our salad and our sauce, they asked me to return the salad they delivered. I said well, but I want what I originally ordered. They told me the replacement was there in 20 minutes. It didn't arrive over an hour and again was wrong. I'm not gonna eat here again and you shouldn't."

"We hadn’t been to Burwell’s in a few years. It wasn’t as nice as I remembered. I thought that since we were made to submit a credit card number to make a reservation that we would at least have been seated upstairs in the nicer more quiet part of the restaurant. We felt like the “walk in” traffic got better attention than we did. We were seated across from the bar and it was so loud that we could hardly hear each other when we spoke. The food and drinks were good but everything else really took away from that. Our waiter was excellent! He was doing the best that he could!"

"It was amazing! My boyfriend and I were visiting town for the Khruangbin concert — which was stellar, also — and we found this place and wanted to try. Our chef was so friendly and prepared our food just to our liking. We will surely keep this restaurant in our back pockets for when we visit Charleston again."

"One of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. Every time we're in town, we'll go. This week we go twice! It is a beautiful room, great staff and the food is exceptional. We love to eat at the seats overlooking the kitchen, so we can create them masterly dishes. The chefs are talented, the menu is creative and every time we have an incredible experience. Sully was our waiter and he let us laugh and enjoy more than ever before. Wonderful time as always!"
