"Had heard good things about Murray’s so we went tonight to try. We ordered a special fish supper wow that is expensive, I honestly could not believe when the server placed piece of fish in the box I thought she was going to...get the other piece however I was In for a big disappointment, how can you possibly charge that amount for piece of fish. The chips was one scoop which barely covered the bottom of the box. Skipped the single pie at Sorry guys but this is day light robbery. I have had many a special supper and this was average at best. Will certainly not be back and would not recommend. Away in the now looking for snacks."

"We went for a meal here last week,Saturday afternoon and got a table no problem,,the staff were fantastic and service was brilliant,,we all had different of the menu which has plenty of choices,,I had the steak and peppercorn corn sauce,the steak was cooked to perfection,the...scampi was also lovely too,,very reasonable prices with fresh clean deco,,I would certainly recommend decades as they also have a children's menu abs couldn't find any faults at all"

"Stayed here for a night with friends and family. The tall guy staff (we were told he was one of the managers) that welcomed us wasn’t really welcoming and helpful at times. We booked bedrooms but due to not having enough people as some...cancelled he decided that we shouldn’t get a key for of the rooms that we booked for, even though we paid and will not get a refund for it apparently, we are no longer entitled to use the room as there isn’t enough people when we have toddlers and + stuff which we can use that room for. Head managers had to decide if we can use the room we paid for or not for some reason. Another issue was when we required some refreshments for the kids and ourselves. As it was a bit of a hot weather, we decided that maybe it was possible to ask for some ice from the bar for our refreshments/juices. The same guy again didn’t entertain our request but instead told us that he cannot give us at least a bucket of ice and if we wanted to, we can drive to blairgowrie to buy our own this was at As much as we asked nicely, the guy ended up giving us pints full of ice and wouldn’t give anymore. To add on to this, the space in the rooms I wouldn’t complain about. However, the state of their rooms are shocking, especially in this time of pandemic. You’d expect the room will be cleaned spotless, but instead, all we found on the wall are spiderwebs and all sort of insects roaming around the room. The sink in the toilets are also dirty. The beds and the linen weren’t the best either. Also, the free breakfast given in the morning. Yes, it is free but doesn’t mean that you should serve such small portions to your guests. You don’t really charge small amount for the room either so I think an adequate amount of food wouldn’t hurt your business. However, the ladies that served us during breakfast are all fantastic and friendly. The hospitality they have shown us really have made up for how the guy staff treated us the night before."

"Stopped by for a spot of lunch during Dundee Literary Festival. Good ambience, friendly attentive staff, varied menu. We both chose the pie deal, which offers a choice of pie from a selection of 6 or 7, a potato side (creamy mash, chunky chips, or sweet potato fries and a veg option (mushy peas, fried onions gravy, mixed veg all for the princely sum of £6.95! Selecting the beef chilli cheese option, I opted for the sweet potato fries and onions. Served in a retro enamel ashet, the pie itself was packed full of tasty chilli mince whilst the pastry was firm and buttery tasting; also, No matter how many fries I ate, the pike in the dish didn't seem to lessen any.... My daughter plumped for the Carribbean Chicken Curry pie, this time with chunky chips (and boy, are they chunky! and also the onions. Her pie filling was a little drier than expected, but this was because (unlike a lot of other pies there was a lot of nicely spiced chicken veg packed in, rather than lots of sauce containing a few chunks!! Would definitely recommend, and we are planning on returning soon (i mean, we HAVE to work our way through the other pie combinations!"
