"Stopped here regularly for a coffee whilst out cycling. On last occasion stopped here with missus and had coffees and cakes. On the way back we stopped again and had a couple more coffees. Imagine my suprise when he had the cheek to charge...me to fill her water bottle up after spending over there. Never been back since due this."

"Came early evening to soak up remains of the sunshine on the beach and then had a craving for some fish chips. Sblash really hit the spot cod bites, small cod chips all excellent and we could enjoy them sat outside on benches next to the village stream."

"We’d had a long walk and were famished. We were very grateful that the Golden Cod was opened. We ordered one standard fish and chips and it was enough for both of us. It was cooked fresh to order and was just right. Chips were good too and piping hot. We sat at the picnic benches outside and it was a perfect finish to a great day."

"I never write reviews but this one was a must!! Came to Wales for a mini holiday and came across this little gem !! The food is amazing, I tried the homemade onion gravy my first time trying this anywhere and it’s is the best gravy ever!! So much so me and my husband came back to Vallas two days later and got our own portion. The team is so friendly and the place has got that family feel to it which makes it even better. I know for a fact that when we visit Wales in the future we will definitely be back at Vallas again !! Thank you to Michelle and the gang xx"

"Generous portions, chips are extra crispy, but fluffy inside, fish was crispy, but not dried out, peas were also delicious. a good meal. reasonable prices and good service by friendly staff. would definitely recommend if they eat after fish and chips on criccieth beach in front."

"Went into this shop for lunch. After about 3 attempts on my card i finally paid. Once i arrived home i checked my transactions on my credit card to find out that i had been charged twice. I approached badell aur and they were hopeless. The first lady said they had noticed that the till was over that day. I then spoke to somebody in accounts who said they can't refund me. My bank said the only thing they need to do is do a bank transfer. I was then told that the only person that can do anything was sick although the first lady said she spoke to somebody. I would be careful if you are paying by card in this place as they just try to get rid of you when you have a problem."

"After parking we went for a walk along the front, noting the small portions and high prices being charged on the front fish clearly frozen stuff you'd expect £9.00) in your local discount freezer shop). After a stroll turned up at the Harbour Fish Bar to see not a lot has changed here, good quality food without a premium, my friend eats fish but not batter, asked for it to fried without the batter now you know it's prepared on site and not bought in) not a problem at all, cooked it for him 5 minute wait, spot on guys, food was really good piping hot and decent value for money, what can I say, just an exceptionally clean, efficient business being run by people who care about what they do! And it shows in the food. See you all in a few weeks time again."
