"Had a wonderful meal here with my girlfriend! The Hoppin ' John was plain, but nice. Not overly flavorful, but still great. We also had one of the daily specials prepared vegan. Baked eggplant topped with cherry tomatoes marinated in balsamic, and chopped almonds. This dish was heavenly. Alfalfa 's has a simple, neat atmosphere, and a very friendly staff. They are exceedingly proud of their localness and are were happy to serve two hungry vegans! Updated from previous review on Tuesday March 31, 2015"

"Best Chinese in Lexington. Pu-Platter came with everything it should and more. House fried rice was great, perfectly cooked. And the sweet and acidic special was excellent. If I had to nitpick, there were too many peas / carrots in the shrimp and lobster sauce, but that could be just a personal preference. Always our Gothic for Chinese in Lex."
