"Purchased rice and chicken for my 7 year old son After eating a few spoons he started vomiting. When I smelt the rice and realised they had gone off and when I called the shop to complain the manager Anwar started being rude and admitted the rice was off and should have been put in the bin. I have been using Mr Cod for years but no more....Poor food and services but the attitude of the management is far worse."

"A place like this was needed in reading for a dae. from the facility to the service was all first class. I have dined here a few times and it was very consistent and pure quality. the prices are reasonable and the day deal time is a bargain. it is a beautiful place for a dating in the evening and the music and great service really sets the ton. the food is 10/10 each dish is packed with taste and it is so fresh. the cocktails are also amazing and if they do not take a rum punch on their visit, they will miss (or a fruit punch for the drivers.) each detail was thought of by the children's leaves and black history books up to the uniforms to the sweet little flowers on the tables, it is definitiw my new favourite restaurant."

"Rather than stop in a motorway service station for lunch, we took a teeny divert from the to reach The Swan. (Probably easier quicker than parking up in a service station and walking to the building whilst risking your life! The pub itself...is lovely; cosy, low ceilings with beams, nice clean loos great beers on the pump. All the food is home cooked (apart from anything in breadcrumbs We both opted for the pheasant soup as a starter (big enough for a meal with the hunk of bread you receive and then butchers sausage mash (with a choice of mushy peas, beans or garden peas) and onion gravy. The sausage is enormous; I reckon around sausages worth! And best of all, it’s delicious! We would have loved to try the desserts but sadly no room! The landlady is delightful and very friendly which is always appreciated if you aren’t a local. I would highly recommend as an alternative to a soulless service station to any traveller, or if you’re in the area, make it your local pub. Enjoy."

"We'd heard good things about this restaurant but I was disappointed and unfortunately on a visit to Cardiff the next day we found ourselves booked in to another Italian restaurant there. I couldn't help comparing and what a difference. The squid was like rubber and the veal, though reasonably tasty, the sauce could hardly be described as pepper sauce. I also objected to having to pay an extra £4 to add a vegetable and a bit of colour, in this case peas, to the plate Surely vegetables should come with a meal. Of the other three one agreed with me. One had to add lots of pepper to the so called sauce diablo and the fourth was satisfied As for payment Cardiff was better value all round."
