"Paid 200 for three persons including lobster, which is not bad for sydney. the place was empty, apart from a family group of Chinese . it was also cold inside, as the weather was annoying. so was not the world's most impressive place, but eating. good. I liked the dazzling steak bowl especially. So they try."

"Chilli chicken and Caesar's salad with a smile. Frequent this place quite often, and always greeted with a hearty smile. The variety of food is good too, from Onion Kranski rolls in the morning to Sandwiches in the afternoon. Highly recommended!!"

"A chic and impressively decorated restaurant in Chinatown which emphasises style over substance, a perpetual and recurrent theme of Sydney's dining scene which promises but under delivers. This begs the question whether chefs do quality checks on their food before serving them to diners who simply desire a comforting and fuss-free dinner.<br>

I paid $40+ for a traditional Laotian grilled chicken and pineapple fried rice but was served with a reheated/microwaved version three minutes after order. The meat was cold whereas the edges were dry and hard. The pineapple fried rice fared no better - Rice was soggy (Probably too much water cooking the rice but they served them anyway) and pineapples were canned ones/processed. Hard to imagine this was rated 4.2/5."

"I've dined here almost 10 times since this PappaRich franchise opened on Liverpool St a few months ago. It's a welcome change from some of the other Malaysian restaurants in Chinatown, including the inexplicably busy Mamak on Goulburn St.<br>

The setup is bright and clean, and orders are taken by writing down menu codes on an order form that is taken away and submitted to the kitchen. <br>

I almost always get the Hainanese chicken and rice, the roti with tandoori chicken, or the roti with dips. The dishes are tasty and well-priced, and service is fast. If I had to pick a place in the city to get a quick, reasonably priced Malaysian meal, it would probably be this restaurant.<br>

Unfortunately my last visit was a bit of an exception to the norm and the Hainanese chicken was dry and tasteless. That being said, 9 out of 10 isn't bad.<br>

If I could fault the restaurant on anything, it would be the 'stand in line and wait at the front door' service which is generally disorganised and a bit of a nuisance. People don't like being unnecessarily shuffled around, especially when the restaurant is half empty and there isn't a queue.<br>
<br>
The member rewards programme is also very stingy. I've done the calculations and the rewards you get for scanning your phone when you pay your bill are worth 2.5% or less of what you've spent. I've given up on it and have deleted their app off my phone - the going rate for loyalty programmes is usually 5% or more. I do however understand that this programme is set by the franchise owner, not the franchisee.<br>
UPDATE: I've visited twice since I posted this review and am decreasing my rating from 4.0 to 3.5 due to a noticeable decline in service and food quality. Bit of a shame really."

"A few mistakes in the iron benny: the egg yolk was partially boiled and there was not enough hollandaise sauce. Price tag: $18.90 good location on water and good service. would try again and see if they could perfect the eggplant."

"Cheap, fast and convenient are just a few things that make this place big $8.50 for a katsu don is great, especially since their portions are huge and comes with a bit mist suppe. average taste, but worth for money and friendly service will be back to try their udon."

Since then, Quay Seafood has become a must for me when... in Sydney. Forget some of the posh restaurants along the Quay, if you want really fresh authentic fish and chips, this is the place to go. You have a wide selection of fish with large portions and fantastic service."
