"After visiting the lighthouse we chose this restaurant, even though one of our companions thought it was "sketchy" Hauled him in and glad we did!! The food made it worth the stop. Yes, it's a little run down, but the server was Cheerful with a capital C. I had the half hot turkey sandwich with cooked carrots, fries dressing and gravy (sorry now I didn't turn my phone back on to get a picture for you) Best dressing I've had since Sharons in Carbonear back when it was great. Rest of table ordered cod with fries, dressing and gravy too. They got what appeared to be homemade tartar sauce which was sweet like a desert they said and slaw (also good) We were there by 12:15pm and it was practically empty. We saw a couple "regulars" order the pizza and it did look good. Then the tour bus arrived. Filled up pretty quick so I'm sure that with that crowd it would have been slower service. Oh and did I mention that when we ordered coffee they put a fresh pot on for us and it came pretty quick.Attentive server and the food gives this a big thumbs up for me.. Needs a good cleanup/renovation."

"Stopped in for dinner this evening. A large table was just leaving so it was sort of hectic there. Ordered the Fisherman’s platter. Piece of battered fish was excellent. Also came with scallops and shrimp, which were both deep fried. Portion was huge. Friendly staff...and quick service."

"Food/Coffee 3 stars, but customer service 1/2 star. Honestly, I was looking forward to trying Robin 's...first time out in Newfoundland and I heard it was great. I was starting my journey for the day and saw a Robin 's and thought it was a great opportunity to stop. I placed my order in the drive thru, I thought I was being quite polite and remembering my please and thank yous as always. Got up to the window and the young lady gave me the total, it seemed low, so I confirmed what I had ordered. She said I didn 't order that, but she did correct it and then turned to me and said well maybe you should be nicer next time and went to grab the item. Sorry?!?! I didn 't realize that in any way I was being rude or not nice . I have to say, this has totally turned me away from Robin 's for the rest of my trip here. Not impressed at all."

"Dated yet clean. Don't recommend it for business travellers. Wi-fi was down most of my visit and the area the hotel is located in does not have cell service. Can't speak to the food as I never saw the kitchen open while I was there. Barely got off the parking lot the morning I left as the snow wasn't cleared. Rooms: 1 Service: 3 Location: 3"

"Really enjoy coming here on multiple occasions, for great food, and great, personable service from the owner, David. I’m a huge lover of fish tacos, and loved theirs, particularly with the fresh cod, and local twist of a spicy blue blueberry sauce! I also loved the weekend bbq brisket burgers (order ahead!! . Very modern too. My only complaint is that they are dealing with so much red-tape to get the distillery side open. Once open, it will surely be another must see for tourists and locals"
