"Piping hot, fresh, perfectly cooked chicken! This trip I had fries, but their waffles are puffy and delectable. They have a pretty large menu and even share some of their menu with the attached Sweet Stuff. You get enough food for two or to take for another meal later. Definitely worth a stop if you?re feeling like fast comfort food!"

I was in town for business and went to the restaurant solo, and had the most special date night with myself. The wine list is extensive, and the desserts are to die for"

"Better or worse, it seems that we had the same idea as any other person in Kansas City. We decided to look past a warm autumn afternoon, and it was alarmingly busy for the afternoon. For someone who hasn't been here before, when you're sitting outside, there's a beverage server out there, but you need to fix your food, but they'll bring your food out. If they're busy, be ready to wait. The clientele seems quite young as usually Millennials, and the atmosphere is quite loud, and I don't say that this is a bad thing, I just say that you are ready when you go. It won't be a place for quiet conversations. Prices for the area were standard. Beer selection was average. Food reports from the family were fair, but personally I thought the picky chicken sandwich was pretty bad. Just played a court, and they were pretty terrible it seems. From what I collect, it's like huge table tennis. I like the fact that they allow dogs. A decent experience, I would probably go back, especially for the sandwich."

"Top of our list right now after a year+ of exploring KC after moving from Houston. We coincidentally met chef Brandon Brumback at a J. Rieger barrel dinner the weekend prior and loved what he did, so it was no surprise that this was a home run.The ambience is fantastic from the moment you walk in the building. The restaurant is cozy and romantic. Staff are friendly and helped with anything we asked for recommendations on.We ordered the beef carpaccio and Caesar salads to start. Both were fantastic, the salad dressing being perfectly balanced with flavorful, crispy yet tender croutons.Half a dozen oysters were next. They were fresh and delicious. I didn’t totally care for the mignonette but I’m super picky about that, I don’t hold it against them.This is the first nice restaurant in KC where I’ve seen a legit cacio e pepe, so I had to order it. It exceeded my expectations and I ate every bit of it.My date ordered the filet and green beans. Both were PERFECTLY cooked and the duck confit is to die for with the beans.Cocktails are a blend of traditional and creative; our favorite ended up being the old fashioned.We opted for the goat cheese cheesecake dessert, which was definitely different but good as a more savory finisher.Take a look around the museum after, it’s a great all in one date spot and you will not be disappointed with the quality. We will be back!"
