"Stopped by for Lunch the other day, after hearing really good things about the food offerings.Just the two of us....we ordered what I believe to be two of their top dishes.Chicken and waffles, and Pork belly hash with poached egg.The decor is spartan, but clean, and functional.Service was pleasant and prompt.The food, once served was exceptional. There was an amazing blend of flavours utilizing high quality ingredients.Diverse flavours, that blended well on the palate.Pork belly was off the chart, as was the chicken confit.....OK.....the waffles hit it out of the park too.We usually like to explore the menu , so next time will likely see us trying the much talked about Übe pancakes ..and perhaps an eggs Benny."

"Everything was just okay, put an order on a paper kiosk and waited for the food delivered to your table. SMALLEST part of the side dishes I've ever had among different Korean restaurants in Winnipeg, yet they will load you $2 for everyone if you need extra. I think it's my first time and also last time visit, because I don't want to eat secondary dishes from previous customers table, although they appear packed and clean."

"Beautiful, breathtaking, creative, sweet, savoury, vibrant… Deer Almond crafts a gorgeous and intimate dining experience that I was truly surprised to find in Winnipeg. Patrons must try chef’s imaginative tasting menu that includes inspiration from Italy, Japan, Germany, Ukraine, and others providing an tasteful experience that is somehow new and nostalgic. The restaurant is warm and cozy, while the service provided makes every customer feel personal as though they’re a celebrity that evening. I had no expectations and only went because a local (and very smart) barista at Little Sisters Coffee Maker recommended it, but I left feeling like I just had the best meal of 2023. Deer Almond is perfect for a romantic evening or an occasion worth celebrating as there is no doubt you’ll leave beyond satisfied. I recommend the bone marrow w/chanterelles, goldeneye nigiri, beet agnolotti, and peanut semifreddo (which has been on the menu for 11-years). As my bartender said, I’ve only tried a quarter of the menu, so I’m ecstatic for my return (hopefully soon)."

"Went here on a whim for the all-you-can-eat lunch without checking the reviews. There was only one server, she was friendly and attentive. The sushi rolls were great. Rice was not mushy or over cooked and the fish was fresh."

"I was there today with a friend. The menu has changed since the last time my daughter and i went. The food used to be excellent, today, it was the worst meal I have eaten in a long time. After praising the place, i was embarrassed. The toast that came with burrata was so black, it looked like charcoal. When the waitress came to ask, I told her and she said sorry?? Will never go back and sorry i have recommended it to so many people. What has happened and why did they change the menu?"
