"We always enjoy the good service and legendary burgers at this location. The serving staff are attentive and helpful with advice about local events and attractions. The burgers were fresh and the new salted caramel brownie is a close second to the signature chocolate cake that is no longer on the White Spot menu. WE always look forward to a White Spot visit when we are in town."

"When I met one of my Chinese friends we went to the “i café” for dinner. The selection on the menu was like a Chinese-international fusion cuisine. The prices were higher than usually for such meals. We ordered Curry Prawns on Spaghetti and Seafood Fried Rice (Spanish Style). I was a bit sceptic about the “Spanish style” which mans most likely a kind of paella since I already ate several good and quite a few terrible paellas. And paella in a Chinese restaurant is nothing what I would consider a good combination.First, the Curry Prawns with spaghetti came. The (small) serving of the spaghetti was presented at a big gold plate, which mean that the spaghetti were cold very quick too. The taste of the prawns was quite good. And surprisingly to me, the seafood rice was not bad either (even if it was not a real paella style). The acoustic was not so great. At least the servers were able to speak decent English (beside the Chinese). I would give the restaurant a 3.5 while my Chinese friend would give a 3.0 since he doesn’t like westernized food."

"Dropped in to this restaurant because it was convenient. The beef pan fried with fat rice noodles was tasteless, overwhelmed with bean sprouts and the rice noodle was cold and on the over cooked side."

"Only blocks from our home, my wife & I finally had a chance to visit Enigma, and were very pleased that we did. It wasn't busy when we arrived for supper on a Friday evening. We were quickly seated. Our waiter quickly brought us a plate of bread of butter, and menus. We weren't rushed, but our attentive server noticed when we seemed ready to order. Overall service was excellent.I took advantage of the Friday evening pint of beer special, while my wife ordered red wine. Very reasonably priced drinks.We started with humungous house salads. Our waiter did suggest that could share, but we're big veggie eaters and the sizes were perfect. Lots of pumpkin seeds & dried cranberries were added to the pile of greenery & cherry tomato halves, along with a our different but very tasty house dressings on each.My wife had a yummy Guinness Beef stew with lots of tender meat, steamed veggies, and mashed potatoes. I had the daily special grilled lamb chops. Although our waiter did not ask how done I wanted them, the three tender chops came perfectly medium as I would have ordered. The chops had a very nice smoky flavour, and had just the right amount of tasty, tangy house BBQ glaze. The meal came with the same steamed veggies as the stew, but steamed potato chunks instead of mashed.Both meals were very reasonably priced and delicious."

"Recently dined in a couple of highly rated restaurants in Vancouver --- including TripAdvisor's current #1. However the surprise winner was the unpretentious Ho Yuen Kee.Large fresh-from-the-tank lobster cooked to perfection on top of a hefty serving of sticky rice saturated by the drippings of the succulent crustacean. Couldn't get any better than that. We ordered 3 other dishes, 2 were standouts, but the lobster dish is really worth writing home about. Writing this makes me want to go back pronto --- alas, it's 13 hours flight away!Waitress Cherry was efficient. Price was reasonable. Place needs a bit of scrubbing."
