"A most delicious roast turkey meal with trimmings for lunch today. Excellent portions and quality food. Opted for the lemon tart for pud which was also moreish too. I only hope I manage to cook a tasty meal like this on Christmas Day! Well done to the chefs in the kitchen and the whole staff team at The Red Deer. We received such a wonderful welcome and nothing was too much trouble. This has been our third visit to the establishment. Highly recommend with a large car park outside."

"You know how sometimes you walk into a pub and, within moments, you just know that you'll like it? Well, for us, that was The White Hart at Bow. My wife and l popped in for a quick drink whilst our daughter was at an...area Cubs New Year party at Bow Village Hall. Neither of us had ever been in before but, honestly, within a few minutes we felt really relaxed and at-home. The people behind the bar plus the locals were just so friendly and welcoming but not in an all-over-you fashion; that would have had the opposite effect. No, they seemed to treat us like locals that just hadn't been in for a while. I'm probably not explaining it very well! We've since been back with our daughter for Sunday lunch. Delicious but you'll definitely need to book. Highly recommended."

"We ended up at this lovely pub, due to another one randomly being closed. The food is proper home cooked grub and lovely. The bar itself appeared to have mainly locals who were all friendly. There is also a pool table, which now is almost unheard of in a pub. We had the pizzas and they were delicious. We’re vegetarians, but one of us doesn’t have diary either and the staff catered for that, the best they could. The only thing I would say is that on the menu, there isn’t a great selection for anyone who is dairy free and even quite limited (nowadays) for a veggie, but the rest of the menu looked lovely. It is also dog friendly. Staff very friendly."

"We visited thus pub for a valentines fixed menu, which was very good. Lovely place.. however, terrible ladies toilets. 2 x very small cubicles, no toilet paper, one cubicle door doesn’t shut so you have to sit with your foot up against the door. The hand dryer barely works and for a busy pub are not adequate."
