"We called in here late one afternoon after sightseeing in Staufen and had a wait for the train back to Munstertal. Very welcoming host, and the beer was ice cold and quite reasonable in price. Didn't see a menu so can't comment on the selection of food."

"The Kornhaus is right in the middle of Staufen and has pavement tables (well, on the cobblestones actually) where you can sit and watch the world go by in this pretty little Black Forest town. Food is the usual traditional German dishes - schnitzels, goats cheese salad, etc, served with a touch of refinement and excellent local Rothaus beer. Service is friendly. For desserts, though, it can't compete with the incomparable Decker's patisseries just across the road."

"For more than 20 years, I have come to the Etzenbach Farm Inn, then on a recommendation from a friend who stepped up the trout there as unrivaled in the region. He was right in all matters: At Andrea Dischinger, who is always warm and competent, and her husband Günter, who in the kitchen really proves a golden hand for fresh ingredients and unscrupulous 1A quality, we feel (my husband, friends and I) for years and again. The athmosphere is always pleasant, the salad in advance is one of the most tasty in the region...and when we come to the main food in a cool neighborhood, a holiday feeling is always there. The special thing about this inn: the quality is always the same over the decades, no vulnerabilities, always tasty potatoes cooked to the point (no matter how bad the potato harvest also liked)... Simply thank you for this service and the kindness and congratulations for the obvious success, which also shows that it is better to reserve beforehand so that the palate joy is really nothing in the way.
