"Popped in for a take away after a walk and have to say it was some of the best Chinese food I have had in ages. The char Sui was lovely and tender unlike 90% of take aways. Great value too, the portions were very generous. We will be back again"

"We love this gorgeous restaurant and ate there yesterday, as it’s now open again following Lockdown. The food was delicious as usual. I had a beautifully cooked haddock fishcake with a tuna Niçoise salad to follow and the husband had bbq ribs that literally fell off the bone and a beef roast dinner with the best roast potatoes ever and a spring onion mash that was buttery and oniony and scrumptious. As I had been so good I had a strawberry Eton mess and the hubby had a chocolate brownie and cream. The food is all homemade and so so delicious. This was all washed down with a bottle of lovely Jack Rabbit Shiraz which is the house red and is a red that we love and can’t buy anywhere else. Karl and Sue who own the restaurant are such a lovely, friendly, welcoming couple and the young waiter who served us was a delight. The atmosphere is just right and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Get there as soon as you can you do not know what you are missing!!"

"Perfect, simply perfect. Staff were pleasant attentive without being too 'in your face '. The restaurant was busy lively but there is always a quieter corner to dine in if you don 't like that atmosphere. I went with a friend our mums for my birthday treat. We had the mixed seafood platter to share was more than enough! The garlic bread with cheese is a favourite very moreish. We has classic carbonara (cooked the perfect Italian way of course! , sirloin steak, another classic penne pasta dish that also looked delicious. I had the thickest fillet steak wrapped in parma ham in a black truffle sauce that cut like butter melted in the mouth. We all had the classic Italian/French deserts; Tiramisu, Pavlova, Creme Brule I had a beautiful Pana Cotta with berries. Even the Pinot Grigio Rose was exceptionally full bodied lovely. And the staff came out sang Happy Birthday with a surprise treat. Thanks for a lovely experience."
